I’m just glad there’s nothing absurd going on in the news to remove focus from all of the monolithic issues in play right now… Oh wait, witches are coming for Trump. That’s Mildly Annoying
It occurred to me last night, that although I had written a previous blog post about the things that make me enter a seething rage. I have yet to cover the much more common ‘things that make me mildly irritated’.
Despite the title of the overall blog, I am not always full of anger and fury. I would actually like to think of myself as quite mild mannered (you can disagree, but don’t blame me if your car gets petrol bombed). There are certain triggers, like slow walkers or anyone clearing their throat that can really get my teeth grinding, but most things are just mildly annoying. Without further ado, here are a few of those things:

I was at a bit of a loss of what to write about this morning. Then a man in a business suit cleared his throat all over my shoe and a subject matter was born!
Quick disclaimer, I feel like I have heard the title of this post somewhere before but I can’t quite place it. I’d Google it, but then I might find the source and feel guilty about stealing it, so let’s just pretend I came up with it.
I am a strong believer that all of human society can be split into two categories, the chavs and the chavnots. For anyone reading who might not be aware of the term chav. It’s essentially the British word for scum. People who wear shell suits and beat their kids. That kind of scum.

The Supermarket Class System
It seems that every step I take towards becoming middle class I’m forced to take two steps back. I came to the stark realisation yesterday that I have been priced out of Sainsbury’s… Sainsbury’s! Not Waitrose or Marks & Spencer’s but Sainsbury’s. A staple of the British supermarket scene. I don’t know when exactly it happened, but during yesterdays weekly food shop it was clearly apparent that I was somewhere I do not belong…
The first indicator was the complete lack of sales. As someone who is inherently budget minded, nothing arouses me quite as much as a sale. For this reason food shopping is my fifty shades of troubled marriage. Normally there should be an on sale version of practically everything you need to buy in the supermarket. If you approach a shop with a bit of flexibility then there’s no reason to ever pay full price. Uncle Ben’s rice may be full price, but Knorr is 50% off! Semi skimmed milk hasn’t been on sale for weeks, but no worries you can get 2 chocolate Yazoo milkshakes for £1!

Things you should be scared of!
Yesterday I read a news article (from the internet, so entire bottle of salt needed) that claimed after interviewing a large number of 18-21 year olds. The greatest fear of the next generation was ‘never finding love’…
Now i’m not saying it’s not a valid concern, everyone wants to fall in love, but fuck me; be less self involved. How can you look at the current state of the planet and think ‘gee whiz, I hope there’s a woman out there who will suck me off before we all die horribly’. As someone who is scared of everything. I thought i’d use my superhuman cynicism to help these youngsters understand things they really need to fear, like porcelain dolls or Carrot Top.
