Live Blog: The Killers Roll Out ‘The Man’
I’ll try to keep this post updated with the latest on the various interviews The Killers (mainly Brandon Flowers) are giving today in support of dropping the lead single from their fifth studio album.
First up should be Radio 1′s interview with Annie Mac, followed by Radio X, then the Facebook Live Q+A session.

First listen to ‘The Man’, then interview. (I know no one probably wants to start with the Springsteen comparisons but I love the ‘Out in the Street’ vibes…)
It’s a relief to get it out in the world, no more tweaks can be made.
Mac- Punchy, groovy record
Flowers- “Funkier than anything we’ve done before.”
Talks about it starting with Stoermer’s bass line.
Last five years- good to have a little bit of a break- it’s good for everybody.
Tough to get together. Pre ‘Hot Fuss’- easy to get together. Nowadays everyone has a different schedule.
Jacknife Lee and Stuart Price produced album (mostly Lee, one song with Price)
Flowers on Lee- So creative and energetic.
Trying not to duplicate things.
Flowers- “This album is sonically moving forward and growing in a lot of ways.”
Album is called “Wonderful, Wonderful”.
Looks like the Radio X bit has not aired yet; assuming that it was not prerecorded and broadcast during the BBC Radio 1 interview.
