alkaid is back on his shit! "this guy must be insane" you say. he is, but also would you believe me if i told you he's the "gentle and nice" guy of the cast. he's also just insane and probably has an anxiety disorder.
anyways when an evil empire spirit gets trapped in a rock in the lighthouse, said spirit tries to manipulate mc into using her powers for the empire. alkaid crashes into the lighthouse using his paraglider to save her. he also gets stupidly cut up from it, tells mc "he's fine", and then GOES SWIMMING IN THE OCEAN WITH OPEN WOUNDS.

this happens VERY early in the first mainline route of the game. at this point, mc has no idea she has powers, and is kinda just baffled and totally out of it. she's a bit more unhinged as a result. truly a "fuck it, whatever" attitude.
only one route has an altered CANON ending depending on decisions made earlier in the route: TRUE
rewording originally mentioned by me in the replies. in spirit world!alkaid's route, his canon ending will be slightly altered depending on the dialogue tree choice depicted above earlier in the route. if you don't say you love him, you'll get the version where alkaid refuses to push his feelings on mc and "be greedy". he then disappears.
if you tell him you love him, however, you get a kiss before he disappears.
this is unusual for an lbc route. most decisions lead to different endings or bad endings. this, however, all happens in the same canon ending. it's just slightly altered depending on decisions made a few chapters back. the game doesn't inform you of this either, and several players never had any idea there WAS a possible kiss.
