My New Home away from Tumblr

After all the reblogging of other artists, I wanted to apologize to everyone that was following this blog because of my art. Sorry for the spam, but the end is nigh so I guess it doesn’t even matter anymore, right. Anyway, I’m exhausted by all the replying and private messaging, but now things seem to have calmed down a bit. 

Thanks to everyone who reached out and for all the nice wishes. Also thanks to all of those that checked out the artists I linked. I hope it helped both the artists and the potential new followers.

All this said, I’m now going to shill my stuff again. After the latest tumblr news, a lot of you guys already followed me on twitter, but I want for as many of you as possible to see this message, so here I go again.

After December 17th I won’t be uploading hardcore content here anymore. If my blog doesn’t get nuked, I will keep uploading SFW stuff and possibly cropped sensitive content, but tumblr won’t be my main hub anymore. Instead twitter will become my new home. Thanks again for all the years of fun times and love you showed me. I know I’ll sound cheesy, but it really was a life changing thing. Thanks to “Sylvia”, I survived some tough personal situations. Thanks to your art and support, you allowed me to reach a wonderful community ... and somehow to exist. You are generous, not only in your drawings, also in your nature. You always try to find the way to treat any of your fans with care (and not only with those most demanding). The 10 days of chusmas with many public raffles, being the latest example Your lines are curvy and smooth, your color are vibrant and your heart golden. The characters you designed were not only beautiful, for me your art became a life changer. You deserved more than a signal boost.

A new voice actress in our game Sylvia:

We are currently recording dialogues for all remaining female cast. Please let me introduce you to silkymilkvoices. She is voicing Isabelle, the hotel receptionist in our game Sylvia.

Thank for the questions and PM about this, and I hope you will find those answers interesting. 700? is it for all languages and the whole game? 700 is for English only in chapter 1 and 2. The French version (only Sylvia in chapter 1) has 235 recorded lines. For the whole game in English, I estimate the total to be around 2200 lines. Are you planning to voice over the “player” (male character)? Yes! However, it’s not on my immediate plans. So far “The player’s script” has already more than 260 lines for the first two chapters in English. Voicing those lines represents a budget I am still building. How do you implement those voices / How do you work with Voice Actors? This answer deserves a podcast or video on its own. I am very tempted to respond on a video to explain the process. Do not hesitate to tell me if you would be interested seeing such video. Why is French version so “limited” in comparison? There is no Indie adult voice acting scene in France. I found nobody serious willing to work with a “small and inexperienced indie adult game developer” like me. I had to hire a friend to voice over Sylvia. I had some proposals.I refused all of them so far.(or have they refused my answer?)Here is one example of such discussion:“All modern games have micro-transactions and players are expecting them, please consider some of the following ideas to increase your value proposition:- Sell chapters.- Restrict the number of interactions to packs player can buy. - Make Save-slots an item to purchase”

I am so proud to be a retro-gamer and believe people want to own their games and get a complete experience out of the box.I won’t alter Sylvia’s development ... take it all or leave it.
