"Boss, I'm going on break!"
A proclamation came from a certain Sinner in a certain slum-riddled area of Hell. Riven was someone who had been around this line of business for so long, she no longer needed to ask her boss if she could go on break. She simply did. That being said, she never went over the limit or slacked off in her line of work.
Riven worked as a bunny girl in a bar in a crummy part of the slums, although places like that were a dime a dozen in Hell. Her attire was a simple bunny girl suit with stockings. It came with a bunny tail and ears accessory with a tiny carrot pouch for holding tips. As for her body itself, she had a light purple hue for her skin color, sharpened teeth (although nothing compared to those cannibals), a long and rough horn extending upwards from the top right side of her head, and an everlasting, ever burning flame constantly dancing in her eyes (although she can’t feel it) hidden behind her irises. She held her platinum-white, shoulder length hair up in a bow and served customers as needed.
The bar itself was a crummy eatery that specialized in alcohol, but still served food on the side. They even had a stage for some bunny girls to dance on, but Riven always refused. She would never dance for these cretins. Working as a server was bad enough. The amount of hands she’s chopped off in just a week alone has been crazy.
It was bad enough that she had to work on the night of an Extermination, but she also had to deal with an absurd amount of creeps tonight. They all shouted something about 'if I die tonight, at least I get to touch some bunny ass' and slapped Riven on the behind. What she wouldn't give for a holy weapon to end those brazen jerks herself.
Feeling frustrated, Riven stepped out into the alley out back and leaned against the brick wall. She closed her eyes and took a much needed breath of fresh, albeit a bit polluted, air. But her break time was soon interrupted when she heard a banging and crashing of nearby garbage cans toppling over. Being alert, Riven shot up and called out.
"Who's there!?"
Her right arm would shift to form a massive razor-sharp greatsword akin to the one she used in life. Of course, she knew it would do no good if it was an Exorcist coming to kill her. She learned from experience that she was no match for them.
Upon seeing a figure from behind the trash collapsing on the ground, however, Riven eased up. She knew this person couldn't be a threat, so she reverted her arm back to normal and approached them with urgency. Her eyes widened when she saw the shape this person was in.
"Oh shit."
This girl looked bloodied with strange yellow blood, which Riven just assumed this was some weird demon's own uniquely colored blood, not knowing it was ichor. Her shoulder had a wicked gash from a weapon and upon further inspection, Riven could see that she had lost her arm and was bleeding profusely. All of this pointed to one thing: an Exorcist attack. Only their weapons could leave such lasting injuries. At first, she thought this girl might be an Exorcist, but why would they attack their own? Riven just assumed she was a strange Sinner. But now Riven faced a dilemma. Normally she wouldn't care about someone getting hurt in Hell, since that happens every five minutes in a place like this. But when it's a victim of the Exterminations? It sparked something within her. The bunny recalled a bit of her life, helping to patch up wounded soldiers, and knew she couldn't just leave this girl here to die.
"Dammit... hang on a sec!"
The bunny then ran back inside and passed by her boss to grab the emergency first aid kit on the wall. Her boss just looked back and forth as she ran this way and that like a chicken with her head cut off, but he just dismissed it and went back to work. Riven then barged back outside and went back to this injured person. She knelt down and popped open the first aid kit so she could get to work.
"Hey, stay with me."
The biggest concern that she cleared up was disinfecting the area near her arm. Afterwards, she ended up wrapping her shoulder up with bandages. Even after all these years, Riven remembered how to patch up a wounded person like it was yesterday. She then tended to the brutal cuts and gashes here and there with more bandages and disinfectant.
All the major issues were accounted for and Riven felt like she could finally breathe. She leaned over to her impromptu patient, wondering if she had lost consciousness or not. Riven knew she should bring her to a hospital, but was worried she wouldn't have had time. Plus with fees, she didn't want to dump that on someone who maybe couldn't cover it.
"Hey... are you alive?"
It felt like an eternity before Lute heard the rustling of another person in this place, yet she was not prepared for the fear that trickled up her spine at the unknown. If she were some kind of prisoner, the one who held her captive wasn't terribly smart; she could have gotten up and left at any minute if she cared to. She just didn't care to. She didn't care about anything.
Soon enough the door to the room opened and the ex-exorcist stole just a minute glance at the girl walking inside with a plate before turning her eyes away again and into empty space. She seemed pretty friendly for a sinner; at least there was that. Still, Lute neither looked at nor answered anything that was said to her. She made no effort to take the medicine or eat. She didn't want to do anything or acknowledge another living being that wasn't Adam. And that was impossible.
That was until something the sinner said struck her and a heavy jolt of anger zapped through her like she had just been electrocuted. How dare she assume she was one of them? Was it not obvious she was an angel?? An exorcist, no less?? She was a holy being, not some low-life human who had fucked up and wasted their existence with evil and debauchery.
"I'm not a sinner." She ground out between clenched teeth. That was probably not the smartest move, but again, Lute's priorities were a little askew at the moment and she lacked the consideration or forethought to realize that telling a sinner she was one of the people who had slaughtered thousands of their kind might put a very unpleasant target on her back. And she didn't have much energy or ability left to fight if she needed to.
Riven took note on her guest's demeanor immediately. She seemed to shy away, whether in fear, disgust, or self loathing, Riven couldn't tell. But in all fairness, the girl had just gone through a traumatic experience. Losing one's arm and being severely injured by Exorcists wasn't the warm welcome most sinners would enjoy.
Or, at least, Riven thought she was a sinner. The bunny noticed the shift to something much more tense in her guest when she played with the idea of her being a sinner. To have corrected her through gritted teeth with a look of anger in those eyes certainly caught Riven aback. At first, she was quite confused and even ran through her thought process out loud.
"Really? Not a sinner? Well, you don't seem like a Hellborn either. Which means..."
It took her a few moments, but Riven finally connected the dots. This girl was an angel, wasn't she? Was she an Exorcist? A look of confusion crossed her features as she tried to understand why an Exorcist would be injured down here. Riven thought they were invincible. Unless they turned on her? Either way, her fiesty guest wasn't met with any malice or caution. She didn't seem in any condition to fight. Not only that, but there wasn't any sort of weapon on her person. Instead, her curiosity continued to rise with more and more questions.
"Wait, but if you're an Exorcist, what are you doing... like this?"
The bunny would motion towards her general direction with her hands. There must have been some falling out between the angels. Riven wanted to get to the bottom of this, so she would take a seat at the foot of the bed and continue to chat with her mysterious new guest. With any luck, she could get past that cold glare of hers. For starters, she would inch the plate of food ever closer to her.
"Do Exorcists normally wait for their food to get cold before eating? Or is skipping meals altogether the norm? Seriously, you must be starving."
Despite being revealed to be an Exorcist, Riven didn't much mind her guest's presence. Clearly she did something to piss off Heaven to be left here, which meant she couldn't be all bad. Being stuck behind enemy lines has to have this girl on edge. With any luck, Riven can convince her that she doesn't want to fight.

"Hey... are you alive?"
Lute had no idea what happened after everything turned black; she had no memory of the hospital or of the sinner that carried her there and to her home afterward. She also had no idea how long she had slept. What she did know was that every part of her ached, she had a splitting headache, and she was not dead in the streets of Hell. At least one of those things was nice.
With a groan she tried to move, abruptly remembering her missing arm by realizing the weight difference on that side of her body, her brain trying to tell her left arm to move and not receiving any feedback from the missing limb. That's when it hit her. The Extermination, her arm, Adam, the betrayal. Somehow all of that hurt more than any physical injury on her. She didn't know where she was but it wasn't Heaven celebrating with her Commander and love of her life. Trembling, Lute rolled onto her side, her remaining hand gripping the sheets as she curled into a ball and tried not to scream. Tears accompanied the forcibly dampened wail of loss and abandonment.
She was overwhelmed with the new reality she was forced to live in. Maybe whatever sinner had saved her was doing her a kindness, something she didn't believe possible, but it very easily felt like torture. She was better off having died now that the memories were all coming back. What was she supposed to do now? Live in Hell? Even if she wanted to, nearly every sinner must want to kill her for who she was and what she's done to their kind. Could she go to the Embassy and get in touch with Sera? Would they even answer? If she had to guess at the status of Heaven, she would have to assume they were on full lockdown in response to the act of war that killing Adam was.
Her view was blurry when she opened her eyes; whether from tears or head trauma, she didn't know but she continued to silently sob as she looked at the bedside table and the medication with the note attached to it. She debated downing the entire bottle but she knew that wouldn't kill her. Only angelic steel could do that. She couldn't even take the recommended dose, considering she only had one hand and was unable to even open them. So much for that fucking idea.
The only thing she could do was lie here and wait for whoever it was that took pity on her or wanted to use her for some kind of leverage or only Father knows what...
It had to have been an hour after her guest woke up that the sinner soon followed. Riven normally woke up early to start her day and get a workout in. Of course, today was different given the circumstances. When her alarm went off, she nearly rolled off of the couch and onto the floor. She turned that obnoxious ringing off on her phone and got up, letting out a huge yawn. The events of last night caught up to her and she had to wonder if her guest was still even here or not.
Riven then had an idea of surprising her guest with breakfast. If they were still here, then they could eat up. Otherwise, Riven would just dig in to what would have been her food. Luckily it didn't take her too long to whip up a plate of eggs and toast. It was something quick and easy, at least. After putting the pan in the sink, the sinner carried two plated meals with a fork on each. Hopefully her guest liked fried eggs.
She had to bump her butt against the door in order to open it. As she did so, Riven would call out.
"If you're still here, I made- oh. You actually are."
Part of her didn't expect it, but part of her was glad she was wrong. It was nice to mix things up in Hell every now and then, and this was just another one of those things. She set a plate down on the bed next to her guest. It was strange seeing her in a stable position and not unconscious or about to be. The bunny knew her hosting skills probably needed work, but she managed a slight, toothy grin as she introduced herself.
"Hey. Name's Riven. You were in pretty bad shape when I found you. But, uh... doctors said you should be fine after some rest and prescribed medicine. Oh! And, uh, I hope you don't mind fried eggs and toast for breakfast."
It then occurred to her that it was probably difficult for her to actually open the pill bottle. Riven felt like an idiot and reached over to quickly remedy her mistake, popping the lid and setting it back on the nightstand. She did it all with an apologetic look on her face, knowing full well she must have seemed stupid.
"Sorry about that. So... what's your story? You picked a bad time to die and become a sinner, you know. The Exterminations can be brutal. Er... you are a new sinner, right?"
Riven only assumed as much considering she was caught unaware out in the streets during an Extermination. Not only that, but she had never seen her around before. Her injuries were pretty bad, but she got lucky. Most people were killed on the spot. The bunny just assumed it was some sloppy Exorcist striking her down at the time, blissfully unaware of who or what her guest actually was. She simply took a bite of her fried eggs watched with curiosity in her ever burning eyes.

"Hey... are you alive?"
She knew there had been unrest among the girls after one of their own was discovered beheaded and left in hell. Despite their General's advancement of the next extermination, many had been talking and glaring at her as if this was somehow her fault. Being the Lieutenant did come with its drawbacks, one of which was keeping the respect of the other girls, not an easy task with so many thinking she had only earned it through Adam's... favor. She tried to pay it no mind; they would fall in line or suffer the consequences, if not from her, then from him. That, of course, did not help the rumors but it shut them and their insubordination up. Until now.
She had done her best when accepting defeat to make sure the rest of their flock was through the portal before she went through herself, as any good lieutenant- or general- would do. Her arm, or what was left of it, burned and bled, and just as she was about to follow the last remaining girls, she was stopped. A small group of them knocked her down, disgusted angry looks on their faces. From what she remembered, when she awoke, they blamed her for Adam's death and told her how unfit she was to even be in Heaven, let alone be their new leader.
What followed was a barrage of hits and kicks; one stabbed her in the side, and another took her wings in her hand and almost tore them from her, not unlike when she had exiled that traitor Vagina. But time had run out before she could; the portal was closing and they left her lying there in Hell, dying and abandoned.
In her hazy, half-conscious vision, she saw a pair of ears, heard a voice laden with concern, and felt the stinging and aching (but welcomed) sensation of being touched and moved.
Yes! Yes she was alive. Part of her realized the fact that she did not deserve a sinner's help... no wait, she didn't want a filthy sinner's help... right? That's what she was supposed to think? She couldn't remember now. She could only utter the word in a desperate plea for assistance.
"...Help..."
"Hey, come on. Stay with me."
It was clear there were traces of consciousness in this person's eyes as they seemed to struggle to stay open. While Riven managed most of the heavy lifting in terms of stopping the bleeding and tending to the cuts, she knew for a fact that it wasn't going to be the best. Despite not knowing whether or not this person could pay for proper medical attention, Riven figured she would just have to bite the bullet and take her anyway.
Without further stalling, the sinner would carefully lift the fallen angel into her arms, carrying her bridal style, and rushing out of the alleyway in order to find the nearest hospital. Thankfully one wasn't too far and she was accustomed to running in those ridiculous heels now. But the sight from the receptionist must have been something else when Riven kicked the door down and ran up to her. It wasn't every day that a sinner wearing a weird bunny outfit would barge in carrying a severely injured Exorcist.
"She needs help. I did most of the work to stop the bleeding, but you guys still need to look at her."
The imp receptionist just looked awkwardly and puzzled at the duo before her. She could tell immediately that the person in her arms was an angel. It was plain to see considering her appearance and the ichor stains everywhere. The receptionist clearly never heard of a sinner helping an Exorcist. It befuddled the mind and she had to clarify that this sinner knew what she was doing.
"Ma'am, you realize she's--"
"Yes, yes, that's fine. Just hurry up and take her!"
The bunny interrupted the imp behind the counter, thinking she was about to say that she was uninsured or something trivial. If that were the case, Riven would just pay for her with the money she'd saved up over the years and this girl could pay her back later. But in the receptionist's eyes, she assumed Riven knew about her being an Exorcist, and had the heart of a saint. Without further delay, the imp paged an emergency team of Sloth demons to come and help. Riven would carefully lower her onto a gurney they brought over. The demons then carted her off to the back to attend to her injuries in a more professional manner while Riven waited in the lobby.
This gave her plenty of time to reflect on her reasoning for doing this. It just seemed wrong to leave a victim of an Exorcist attack to die on their own. It would be even worse if she were new to Hell and was caught unaware. Another part of her was reminded of her old days as a soldier, wanting to patch up her injured units after enemy attacks. Everything seemed so chaotic and hectic back then, just as they are now.
She wasn't sure how much time passed, but by the time the doctors came back to check on Riven, the bunny had just returned from being lost in thought in one of the lobby chairs. Speaking with the doctor, it was clear he reapplied bandage wraps and administered proper medication to the patient. He then listed off a bunch of administered drugs that she had no idea how to even pronounce, despite having just heard them. His instructions were to have her rest and recover whilst taking prescribed medicine. He also mentioned that thanks to her...unique constitution, she would heal a lot faster than most.
With a sigh of relief, Riven then thanked the doctor, settled the debt at the counter, and went back to once again carry the Exorcist in her arms. It wasn't the best method of transportation, but seeing as Riven had walked to work today, it was all she had. She considered hailing a cab, but her place wasn't too far, and these seedy types would probably charge a fortune for getting blood on their seats, as if they weren't already stained with far worse.
It wasn't too long of a walk, thankfully. A brisk pace got the two back to Riven's home in no time. It was a rather shabby looking rented townhouse in the slums of the city. But thankfully, Riven wasn't too messy, so her bedroom would be mostly clean, save for a few tossed about shirts and pants. The house itself was in decent shape. It held a small living room with a couch and television set, connected to an open kitchenette. There was a small hallway that led to Riven's bedroom, which was right across from a laundry room. In her bedroom was the only bathroom in the place. To say it was modest living was an understatement.
The bunny placed the injured girl in her bed carefully, lowering her head on to the pillows, while making sure it remained elevated somewhat. She managed to get the covers over her so she could rest. Afterwards, she would place the prescribed medicine on the nightstand next to her, along with a glass of water. Riven then wrote a quick note, in case she woke up before Riven did. The note read as followed:
'Hey, I found you in an alley after an Exorcist attack and got you patched up. Making this note if you wake up before me. Doc said to take the meds at your bedside and take it easy. We can talk in the morning. Or if you have a place to stay and want to leave, that's fine too. Just don't steal my shit, ok?'
It would have to do for now. With everything accounted for, Riven decided to spend some time for herself by grabbing a change of clothes and getting changed in her bathroom. She came out wearing black pajama pants and a loose fitting tee shirt with the name of a metal band on it called 'Pentakill'. She took one last look at this injured person and sighed. What a hectic day. With any luck, she'll feel a lot better soon. For now, Riven went out to the living room and immediately crashed on her couch, tired from the exhaustion the day brought her. She knew she would catch flak from her boss for leaving early without telling anyone, but she didn't care. Right now, she was face first into a small couch pillow and out like a light, drooling on her arm and even slightly snoring.

While there is no battle coming from Cao Cao, things were quite peaceful at Xuchang where Wang Yi spends her time in peace even if she always thinks of many ways on how to take down Ma Chao. She took a sip off her glass thus the other woman was there too. Wang Yi was aware of her presence.
Wei is the answer for her vengeance as she was only joined recently.
“So, you were new here as well like i do. How was your former life as a farmer before joining with Cao Cao?” Glass down as she asked another round from the waiter.
Riven took note of the new addition to the army when she heard rumor after rumor from the grapevine. She seemed like an interesting person with a notable past. Maybe Riven could help alleviate some of that pain.
Donned in her casual clothing of a blue, short sleeved kimono cardigan and a white undershirt with black, long pants, Riven took a seat across from Wang Yi, figuring it would be best to join her in drinking. She raised a hand to the waitress to grab a glass of wine. Just a small perk of being an officer in Cao Cao's army: discounts! When asked about her past, Riven simply grinned and thought back as her life as a farmer.
"Wasn't bad. Xu Zhu and I go way back. I was just a kid then, but I had spunk. We protected our little village from bandits and thugs alike. Of course, the Yellow Turban remnants proved to be a bit of a challenge. But that's when Lord Cao Cao showed up. Ever since, Xu Zhu and I have been loyal retainers."
Honestly if it wasn't for Cao Cao, Riven wasn't sure if she would be alive. Those Yellow Turban bastards were no joke, even when scattered. She owed Cao Cao a great debt, even as a kid. Luckily she proved herself to him and joined alongside her best friend. By the time she finished, Riven had a cup of wine set in front of her at the table, which she eagerly downed after recounting such a tale.
"How about you, Lady Wang Yi? I've heard a lot of rumors about you, but I thought it'd be best to hear directly from the source."
A small grin.
"So what's your story?"

🍑✋️ - Bun Riven
"I believe you have what many would call 'The Thiccness'. And I am down with the thiccness." Having permission for contact, she gives a slap. "Firm too. What do you do to exercise those buns?"
The compliment and slap just made Riven swell up with pride. Being called 'thicc' yet firm was just how she was hoping to be reviewed. With a cheeky grin, the bunny leaned against the head of the booth Linkle sat in at the small tavern.
"Lots and lots of squats. Among other things of course. How about you? I can tell you're strong just based on that slap."
