The Jamia Millia Islamia University (JMI) was founded in 1920 in Aligarh. After that, in the year 1925, Jamia University relocated from Aligarh to Karol Bagh, New Delhi. In 1988, Jamia Millia Islamia University fulfilled the requirements to become a Central University by an Act passed by the Indian Parliament. Regardless of race, caste, or creed, the university's main goal is to give its students the best and most advanced education and skills possible. Eligibility criteria at Jamia Millia Islamia Univerity vary according to the courses. Here are the common requirements for admission to the Jamia Millia Islamia University.
The students must graduate from an accredited Board or institution with a 10 + 2 degree or its equivalent.
The students must have earned a minimum of 50% in any discipline from any recognized board to pass their graduation or equivalent.
In addition to meeting the previously mentioned eligibility requirements, SC/ST/PWD students gain an additional 5% of the total score (per Government of India rules).
To be eligible for the university admission exam, which is often held in August, students must also fulfill this requirement.
