meadow sunset by Mike Mansur
From a few weeks ago, during a last minute day trip to meadow, and mystic hot springs. messed up the ground exposure, but at least the sunset was pretty!!
Congratulations to Mike and Sarahjane!! This rad couple is tying the knot late February. Had a ton of fun taking pics of you guys. I just want to say how thankful I am that you two asked me to do this. This is my first step into the realm of photography as a Job or career, not just a hobby. I was nervous as can be, but your obvious modeling skills made it easy, fun, and has given me a lot on confidence in my button pressing skills. Seriously, thank you so much guys!!!! (at Wasatch National Forest)
so.....we went to Christmas meadows today. it didn't look real... (at Uintah Mountains)
I couldn't fall back to sleep this morning. So instead of tossing and turning, I decided to drive to guardsman pass, hike to the ridge, and set up my hammock just in time for sunrise! hangin with some deer, moose, birds landing on the hammock, and some quality reading/journal/me time. this doesn't suck (at Guardsman Pass)
What a day. Yesterday, I got asked to cater an off site, private labor day party. I had no idea what to expect, until we drove up to the multi million dollar park city estate. It was one of the most beautiful homes I've ever seen, up on the mellow mountain summit in Park city. After working the event, beers in hand, they invited us to stay and party with them, watch this sunset on their crazy deck, and hang out in their hot tub with the same view... feeling pretty grateful today......
if you look closely, you can see a @weggieclawk in his natural habitat. He likes to perch. camp trip to horseshoe canyon.
we didn't have the worst campsite last night...
electric lake, right off skyline drive. our plan was to drive the entire skyline drive, which hugs the ridge of the mountains for 100 miles, almost entirely above 10k feet. we got about 70 miles in before the dirt road became way too messed up, and thunderstorms rolled in. rain check. side tracked, and now headed to cathedral valley in capitol reef. oh utah, there are too many amazing places to explore here
heading to red castle, from our campsite. ablut 10 million mosquitoes attacked us right here, so we didn't exactly have time to stop and take in the view for a while.. (at Lower Red Castle Lake)
from a little mini trip to rocky Mountain National Park last week. that was a beautiful, but weird trip. we changed the plan at the last second, and then got too excited about "experiencing" colorado again, that the trip turned into a lazy drive through RMNP to Loveland, and back to SLC. Moral of the story is, don't go on an adventure when your energy level is about 8%... crossed off national park number 18 though! 19 is next week, to great basin national park! (at Rocky Mountain National Park Trail Ridge Road)
From a few weeks ago, on a random day trip through the Mirror Lake Scenic Byway. The adventures are starting to get more and more intense each week. This upcoming week, we're hiking the China Meadows/Henry Fork loop, in the High Uinta Wilderness. Well be camping at Red castle, then summiting Kings Peak, Utahs tallest mountain, for a SUNRISE at 13,528 feet!! 32 miles round trip, it's gonna be one hell of an adventure!! (at Mirror Lake)
Arches national park in Moab, Utah. despite the 110° desert Temperatures, arches is always a beautiful place to visit. headed to zion tonight to hike to the subway again, and camp with some super rad people in the hot ass desert! (at Arches National Park)
if you want an amazing campsite, drive an hour from moab up a dirt road to a Warner lake. it doesn't suck #moab #utah #warnerlake #utahgram #photooftheday #utahphotographer #igutah #explore #optoutside #rei1440project
Da baby, in an aspen Grove up in the lasal mountain range! (at Manti-La Sal National Forest)
halfway through negro bill canyon on a 105° moab day. this little shady spot was crucial. back to reality, but that was such a sweet little getaway to moab!
took a mini vacation to moab! day one was camping and exploring in 108 degrees… day two was driving up to 10,000 feet in the LA Sal mountains, and camping next to this serene lake far away from anything. caught the glow right before the sunset last night. back to reality and air conditioning!! (at Manti-La Sal National Forest)
