"Indeed, I rejoice when night falls, for no reason other than to find rest from people's attention."

Ustadh Dr. Firanda Andirja, Lc., M.A. (may Allah preserve him), said:
"The righteous predecessors did their utmost to conceal their righteous deeds because they feared falling into riyā’ (showing off).
As for many people today, they strive to display their righteous deeds while feeling safe from riyā’, claiming that they are only doing so to motivate others."
Conceal your good deeds just as you conceal your sins.
The prayer takes only about five minutes at most, yet it feels extremely burdensome to those who are enslaved by this worldly life.
— Ustadz Firanda Andirja (may Allah preserve him)
We often say,
"Life is short—enjoy it."
Yet we often forget,
"The Hereafter is everlasting—prepare for it."
One of the signs of gratitude is not wishing to be someone else just because they have a better life in this world than you do.
A wise man was asked, "What is a friend?"
He answered, "A single soul dwelling in different bodies."
📚 Muḥāḍarāt al-Udabāʾ (2/5)
Never regret being too kind, for your reward comes from Allah, not from people.
— Ustadz Boris Tan حفظه الله تعالى (May Allah preserve him)
"A woman's natural disposition is to feel at home. If she constantly enjoys wandering around and feels more at home outside than in her own home, she is straying from her natural disposition."
— Ustadz Firanda Andirja حفظه الله تعالى
We are so busy with our titles in this world: doctors, engineers, professors, teachers, and many others.
Have you ever thought about what we will be called in the Hereafter?
Will we be among those who are obedient (qānitūn), who bow in prayer, prostrate, give charity, remember Allah, and worship Him?
Or will we be among those who will say:
"Oh, I wish I had sent forth (good deeds) for my true life (in the Hereafter)."
— The Quran, Surah Al-Fajr (89:24)
— MWT
A day is given 1,440 minutes—yet prayer only takes about 25 minutes. So where is the difficulty?
“Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers at fixed times.”
(QS. An-Nisa: 103)
Choose a partner who, when storms hit the marriage, doesn’t run to another woman—but returns to Allah.
And choose a wife who humbles her heart before Allah when she is hurt, not one who vents through social media posts.
Because in the end, what sustains a home is not love alone,
but faith and strong character that hold it together.
—MWT
Allah does not look at who you were in the past; rather, He looks at how much effort you make to improve yourself. Begin your change today, for Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is within themselves.
—MWT
If you have a friend who constantly reminds you of the Akhirah, cherish and hold on to them. For they do not only wish to be your companion in this world, but also hope to be with you in the Akhirah.
Among the countless people in this world, the one most deserving of your advice is yourself.
"Blessed is the person who is so occupied with correcting his own faults that he has no time to concern himself with the faults of others."
Be like crystal glasses such as Sofia, Khadijah, Aisha, and Fatimah. When they are gone, what people remember is not their photos, but their righteous deeds and good character.
— Ustadz Syafiq Riza Basalamah حَفِظَهُ الله تعالى
"To keep knowledge with us, share that knowledge with others. Knowledge that is taught will not disappear; rather, it will become more firmly rooted within oneself."
— Ustadz Ukkaasyah Abdurrahman حَفِظَهُ الله تعالى
