I made this donut ornament for my dad's Christmas present this year and he kept asking me what was inside. I kept telling him it was just fluffs of wool/stuffing and he kept asking if there was a plastic ring or metal to help it keep it shape haha. 🤣 I ended up showing him a video of what needle felting is and then he understood the work it took to make one of these things. Back to purple hair! Washing hair in cold water during the winter is a whole new level of commitment... Remind me never to do this again in the winter 🤣🤣 It was also my first time going to a home salon and it was great! The process took 8 hours but I got to watch Love Hard on Netflix as well as like 20 episodes of New Girl. Spent a couple hours making this tree skirt today! It's reversible! The other side is just a plain fuzzy white, also with black ribbons... But I'm too lazy/tired to flip it over for a photo right now 🤣 Originally I bought it for the white side and red trim, but decided this way was best instead when I got home. Quite happy with how it turned out! 🎄☃️🎁 Also went crazy and bought this huge tree, turned out it fit just right (for now... We don't have a topper yet and also need some more ornaments so my needle felting creatures are living in my tree right now 🤣). Loving the 3D pointy needles mixed in with the traditional flat ones! Our monstera plant, Phineas, has it's first leaf split!!! Ilia and I are so proud 🥲 We bought this plant as a 4" from the store even though it wasn't doing well (slightly dying looking). It was the only monstera in the store and we felt bad no one wanted it, so we took it home with us. This little snail is named Shelby! 🐌 The hubby named it because it reminded him of the happy worm in Adventure Time when I was making it. I can't believe it can balance on my monstera's leaf! 🪱 I tried to make a peach and pink swirl for the shell, and also tried making the inside using core batting this time. The antennas were the hardest parts to make. Stabbed myself a couple times doing this part. 🤦‍♀️ I can't unsee that the colours make it look like Pikachu. Greetings from the cute mushroom - Happy Friday everyone! 🍄 I ended up making a mushroom with my leftover turtle wool. I tried some new techniques such as mixing colours with hand/ pet brush (yay for random stuff in my house from my cosplay days) as well as wet felting for the arms! First time needle felting! 🐢 . I'm surprised I was able to make anything, but proud of myself for learning/finishing this! Smaller than the palm of my hand and took around 10hrs, but it was actually quite therapeutic to repeatedly stab something 🤣 . OMG, THESE ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BRUSHES I HAVE EVER SEEN & BOUGHT! This is probably one of my most expensive make up purchases, but totally worth! The brushes are all excellent quality, soft, precisely cut and the weight on each one feels super nice! ❤️ . The packaging it came in was superb - it had magnets so the box can fold up and down! New year, new projects! Been feeling extra motivated these past weeks. Finally finished making all the cushions for the couch! The blue and yellows are made from scratch using left over fabric from cosplay days. 🤣. That yellow fabric lasted me through 2 costumes and 2 pillows, I'm impressed. It was super cheap too!
