What are the odds of being chased down by animal double or triple your size, such as a hungry bear for example, best course of actions are definitely trying to run and find somewhere to hide or lay low and flat against the ground and let it grow uninterested in you.
It definitely doesn't work that way with these horned creatures.
You don't remember when they start chasing you, you don't know why they're chasing you, many of them on the street only look for a glance at you and gasped, mostly taken back and bewildered by the sight of you, which is understandable, you look very alien among these creatures.
You don't know why some of them does the opposite, straight up chasing you and summoning weapon from thin air, your eyes widen as one of them swings their weapon and creating some sort of colorful air slash towards you, it manage to hit you before you could properly register the sight, drawing blood and painful cries as they create large deep gash against your wrist.
You stumble and gasp while clutching your bleeding hand, heart thumping wildly and vision becomes blurry with blood rushing to your head from the panic alone, your body crashing against nearby wall and bumping unceremoniously over trash cans, spilling the containment inside and make your head spins more from the awful smells.
God, you're losing so much blood, you didn't notice how your body are literally shaking — you're way too focused upon the large gash upon your wrist, you'd lose an arm if they sent that gruesome attack in different way.
You wish not to think further about it.
there's so much things happening and you continue to lose more blood, the sight of the wound alone enough to make you throw up and faint, but with the adrenaline pumping through your veins and the knowledge of creatures double your size currently chasing after you, you can't really have that option.
You pant shakily, trying to collect yourself as much possible and look up to your aggressors, to your surprise they just, halt their movements, staring down at you. Confusion etches clearly across your face, they seems so ready to rip you apart a moment ago and now they're just standing idly, unmoving while seemingly lost in thoughts, or so you believe from their blank stares.
You're not sure what to do in this silent staring contest, perhaps these creatures only act if their prey moves, which is right now where you're completely still as untouched water surface, completely paralyzed by fear.
In their silent you finally registered there's about three of them, variety in size and horn shapes, you couldn't help but shudder as your eyes trails towards the tallest demon looming over the other smaller two from behind, predator-like eyes staring at yours in return with weapon in hand almost the same size of themself.
You're sure one swing of that weapon would immediately kill you—squash you like a bug—if you're not careful enough.
Your breath caught in your throat as one of the closest to you immediately let out deep groan that almost similar to a growl while shaking their head like they were in a trance, their gaze snaps away from you and immediately jump towards the tallest demon, catching the tallest in surprise as they stumble back to the ground.
You cringe upon the small earthquake they created, and the other demon immediately join in by attacking the first one that attack the tallest demon, unsure if they're trying to separate them or joining into the sudden barrel of fight.
It's like watching your cats starting to attack each other out of nowhere.
You snap from your own trance of watching these demon creatures fighting each others, stumbling to your feet and start make a run, it's a one chance opportunity before they catch up on you once again.
Groaning uncomfortably as you clutch your bleeding wrist with your uninjured hand, trying to put as much pressure you could muster to slow down the bleeding, your feet drags across the ground before gaining pace, panting and huffing while you decide to slip through nearby alleyways and avoid the busy crowds as much possible.
You're not sure what you should do in this situation; you're completely lost in a different world with demons walking through the streets like normal civilians — some of them more aggressive than the others, you're bleeding and losing so much blood, and you're slowly being chased with fatigue due to your unsatisfied hunger.
Shuddered breath escapes your lips, feet growing heavier as the hours passes, the adrenaline within you slowly dies down as your brain convince you that you're safe from those demons.
Truth to be told, you had run for who know how long now, seeing there's no sign of those demons from before chasing you, you seems to be in complete different area too, your body leans against the brick wall besides you—slowly sliding down to the ground due to your legs refuse to support your heavy body any longer.
For the first time in awhile, you finally take a proper breath, greedily gulping down the air you desperately needed, your head lean back tiredly against the uncomfortable hard wall, there's no use to complain with the current predicament, anything you could get right now is a blessing.
Think.
You should think.
You still struggle to wrap your head around what happened today in matter of hours, you still remember clearly you're working on your last semester college project, and the next you found yourself in a completely different world with demons as the majority of its living.
Did you died? Are you in hell?
... That's unfortunately not possible.
If you're in hell there's a chance your large wound would heal immediately and you'd be ready to be tortured again by demons for your sins — if you remember correctly how hell would work in various religious books you've read.
That and the fact this place doesn't scream anything hellish; it's a normal looking city, day turn to night and the street lamp lights up one by one to light up the dark streets, you swear you heard birds chirping and hooting somewhere above you and hear their wings flapping. Definitely you're not in hell.
You can't recall anything that leads you to the current scenario, your brain refuses to remember anything.
You couldn't help but sigh in defeat, eyes trailing down to your broken bloody wrist, the sight alone makes your stomach churns uncomfortably, you don't understand how did you survive that nasty attack and still alive till now, or you're gonna die here soon, there's too much factors playing right now that will lead you to early death.
Despite everything and possible death around the corner, you're a little bit irritated at yourself, you could at the very least finish that last college project, that way if you're missing right now, your classmates will probably search your apartment and found your finished work and help you submit them to the professors.
Wether they like it or not is another problem for your future self, definitely not now with you dying and bleeding out on random alleyways in the evening.
A sound of approaching footsteps halt your movement and warn your heart in sudden caution, your eyes hastily look left and right in fear trying to depict where it came from, the alleyways unfortunately too dark for your eyesight, despite the light coming from the window of buildings around you, it's not enough to shine away the dark corners from the alleyways.
The loose grip on your broken hand tighten again, trying your best to find a small grounding to yourself in facing the possible looming threat around the corner.
There you finally see them, the red horned demon that you stumbled before, not together with the blue horned demon one, they're alone. You are alone with them.
You don't understand the sudden relief washing over their expression upon seeing you nor the bag of food they hold close to their body and how delicious it smells.
Your stomach immediately growls.
If you could dig the ground beneath your feet right now, you'd do so in a heartbeat and burry yourself alive underneath the soil, praying your body becomes a wonderful additional nutrition for the dying earth and flowers would bloom beautifully on top of your decomposed body.
They seems to be caught of guard too with the sound coming from you before resounding amused huff escape their mouth.
You know, dying doesn't sound so bad right now more than this continuous onslaught of embarrassment you made.
You don't have time to be embarrassed by your stomach as you watch them start walking closer, blood immediately pumping through your vein as your brain register the red horned demon as danger.
Unfortunately, you twist your body and stand on your feet too fast to let your tired legs register the movements, a nasty snap filled the alleyway, painful cries soon followed with newly dislocated legs.
The red horned demon move quickly on their feet to catch you before you face planted to the ground, you're sure your heart jump to your throat as they so easily lift you off the ground like couple of grapes, talking in the familiar gibberish noises you've heard when you met them.
A broken whine escapes you as their hand and claws puts pressure on you injured hand, catching them by surprise but now aware of your injuries, their movement becomes much gentler, slowly putting you down to the ground and inspect your wound with worry.
You're taken by surprise at their gentleness in treating you, the last thing you expect from a demon-like creature was to be gentle. Perhaps your judgement clouded by those demons before, you cannot fully blame yourself, but you're guilty still for judging them.
"FUCK!"
Okay. Nevermind.
They were taken back by your sudden yell and immediately lift both of their hands up in sight of surrender, how can you not when they straight up pop your leg back into place, "A warning would be nice, you know?" You groan painfully, rubbing your leg they had fixed with your uninjured hand.
Do your eyes deceive you, or their guilty face looks like a sad, worried puppy? You think you're starting to hallucinate with the blood loss.
You pursued your lips as they look at you in return, genuine guilt written on their face as they spoke something gibberish softly - what you could only assume is them apologizing, their hands slowly lower down and reach out to their belt pocket, you could only watch in silence as they produce fresh roll of bandage.
They stare at your injured hand and look back to you, silently asking permission to treat you and you can't help but slowly comply to their wish, nodding in return to give them a head on, they say something again you couldn't understand, possibly a gratitude.
Their hands are not the most experience with the bandage you noted, it's a little bit sloppy, rather nervous perhaps with touching you, you're not sure what to think, so you just watch silently as they lift your sleeve up to see the injury.
You look away almost immediately, the sight of it makes your stomach churn uncomfortably, you hiss as they accidentally brush their claws again on your open wound, they immediately utter an apology in their language when they caught on it.
You could only offer them a reassuring smile and a wave from you other hand, they took it and offer their own shy smile, you can't lie to yourself it was quite an adorable smile for a demon.
When they return to their task at hand — bandaging you up, you can't help the curiousity get the best of you and study them.
Despite sharing some similiar anatomy with you as a human, you couldn't deny they look a bit uncanny for you at first, their eyes are oval and black, they lack some human features such as nose, ears, and hair, and how square-ish their head are instead of round with slight shapes to it.
They murmur something you still doesn't have the ability to understand, which is quite frustrating to admit yet you cannot help but express gratitude to them, "Thank you for patching me up..." Is all you could say in return and you're not sure they'll understand that, but they look pleased enough with their work.
It's quite sloppy, but it'll do.
A sandwich deliberately being shoved to your vision and you look to see them holding it, offering the piece of food with a smile, you're surprised to see something familiar as you assume their food would be more alien looking, perhaps you judge the book by its cover too much.
You can't help how your mouth start to water as you take their offering, immediately shovelling it down in couple of bites from how hungry you are, they watch in surprise before letting out a small amused laugh, which you're a little bit embarrassed about it, but hey, you've been skipping meals all day and losing lots of blood from being hunted by demons, they can't judge.
You couldn't help but shyly look up at them, one sandwich unfortunately not enough after everything you've gone through, they seems to notice this and offer a beaming smile, hand rummaging through the paper bag they hold and pull another food, this time it's a strawberry toast filled with cream and you immediately took it with a thank you, now eating much more slower as you feel embarrassed from your previous action.
You can't help but feel like a newly adopted cat being watched by a new cat owner.
They look at you with such childish curiousity and wonder, you noted from a small glance how their sparkling eyes study your features like you were before with them, you can't help but feel a little uncomfortable because they are not trying to be subtle about it, eyes all shining and sparkling like a kid looking at a present under the christmas tree.
Being seen as an interesting looking creature — quite literally, is not in your bucket list of the year.
After you finished your meal they were about to fish another from the paper bag but you stop their hands before they could pull another out, way too flustered of being not subtly watched by them, even though it was innocent curiousity on their part, you're still understandbly embarrassed.
You were about to stand up and ready to take your leave, you had make a fool of yourself too much in front of them, unfortunately your legs still weak and you stumble forward before they catches you in their arms again, face planting straight inbetween their....... Breasts.
You want to explode yourself.
Either they wish to save your dignity and doesn't show any kind of reaction or they view the exchange as something not to be dramatic over, you're grateful regardless because the urge to run away and scream on top of your lungs is getting stronger the more you embarrass yourself in front of them.
They steadily coax you back to sit down on the hard pavement much to your dismay and you could only stares at them as their hands fidgets against the clips that kept their cape together before draping it over your head, their hands brush against your hair as they tug their cape to cover your forehead, shrouding your vision a little.
You were about to ask what they're doing but cut yourself off with a yelp as they hoisted you up in their hold, carrying you with practiced ease, their grip are strong as they make sure you don't slip from their grasp, supporting your body with one hand for a moment before reaching out to another end of his cape and wrap it around you, covering almost half of your upper body and let your legs dangling out.
...
Fuck, is this domestication?
They had fed you foods and they start to walk towards the open street with light quicken pace, you're not sure where they're gonna brought you, their home? Your body refuse to make a fuss, still weak and tired, despite them fixing your legs before, you're very aware of the squeezing hot static feelings on it, you're not sure you could even outrun them especially how they're taller and more build up than you.
You could only pray for any gods above for them to not hurt you.
Sword made his way across the street, trying to avoid as much crowds in favor to not get too much attention from other inphernals around him and the look of curiousity they would offer him with the weird looking creature in his cradles, which he had tried his best to cover most of their alien-like features with his cape, it's starting to get very late and for sure.
Venomshank will fuss over him coming home this late than normal, unfortunately as much as he wish to go home now to avoid possible lectures, he can't leave the hornless creature alone, hell even when they're awfully injured and need to be looked after medically, with that in mind he makes his way to Medkit's apartment.
The sky had gotten darker and the street lamps came to life one by one to guide his path.
His eyes trails down to look over the hornless creature in his arms, they look so still in his arm and he can't really blame them, probably scared to the core of the current predicament and himself, it's a natural instinct to be wary over something you're not familiar with, and he believes they're not from around here either.
Despite sharing almost the familiar traits of inphernals, they lack many aspects of it, they look very weird, cute and weird in a way he couldn't describe.
Their body are softer than inphernals, he can't help but noted that in his mind as he held them, quite squishy too when he remembers patching their bleeding hand, quite the sloppy job he had done, but it's only temporary until he can get them to Medkit.
They're much quieter than he would like, he want to offer them comforting words but the language barrier prevent him to, he lightly move them again to one hand while the other awkwardly pat their head, earning himself a long prolonged stares, he's not sure what their stare means, but it definitely not positive reaction — if their expression any goes by, eerie.
He cringed at himself and take his hand away, returning itself to carry their weight and murmur quick apology despite him knowing they wouldn't understand him.
He greets Shotgun when he stumbled upon her at the apartment lobby, which in return giving him a familiar nod and hum of acknowledgement, before a frown appears on her face when her eyes landed upon the bundle of cloak in his arm, clearly questioning it, especially with the weird looking feets danggling and poking out under Sword's cape.
"did you uh, killled someone, kid?" She question
Sword sputter as his eyes widen at the accusation, "What? No!"
"Then what's under that cape?"
"Injured creature." Not exactly wrong, but more so exclaimed weirdly, "I need to bring them to Medkit." The hornless shuffle around in his hands and make noises he still couldn't decipher, but it's loud enough to be heard by both inphernals.
Shotgun stares at him and then down to the bundle of cape, catching a glimpse of a pair of shining eyes staring at her under the apartment's light, too eerie and uncanny in its own way, she could only waves her hands and sigh tiredly, "Nevermind, just go. I'm too tired dealing with some shits today."
Sword sigh in relief as he watches her leave, hastily he moves upstairs to where Medkit's apartment would be, carefully minding his hornless company and his steps, glancing down once awhile to make sure they're okay, their eyes catches his and their gaze still look eerie, it's a complete contrast of how they would look at him in the alley, it's like staring at a frightened animal.
Maybe they are now, he wants to comfort and reassure them, but he had tried before and the lack of ability to understand each others get in a way for his personal frustrations.
The familiar apartment's number came to view and he shuffled his hornless company to one hand as the other knocking on the door fast, "Medkit? Medkit I need help please!"
There's sound of shufflling behind the door before the familiar sight of irritated looking inphernal greets him, he was about to greet Sword before he picked a rich alluring smell coming from a bundle of cloth in his hands, one almost similiar to inphernal's blood but more potent, his frown deepen as he stares at the curious weird looking feet dangling outside the fabric cover.
"Sword, did you accidentally killed someone?"
"No!" He yelps, "I haven't killed anyone I swear! It's just," His free hand moves to tug the cape aside and reveals his hornless companion, "they're badly injured, I believe they got attacked by some inphernals before I could get to them."
Medkit's was too stunned to speak, his eyes widen in genuine surprise as it landed upon the hornless creature in Sword's grasp, they anatomically almost look like any normal binphernal, yet they lack the important feature of having horns and rather has odd looking features across their face.
"Sword, where did you found them again?" He inquire curiously
"I found them in the alleyways," He explains, "I found them before this state, it was around afternoon when I was walking with Rocket back to Da Shop after running some errands for Zuka, it was because we smell something strong and weirdly nice coming from one of the alleyways in the city, and we stumbled upon them.
"They look frightened seeing us, I tried to approach them slowly but they immediately bolted when I accidentally crushed a canned drink underneath my feet, I found them again alone the second time in another alleyway due to their strong smells emitting from their wounds."
Medkit hummed in acknowledgement to his explanation, his eyes return to Sword's hornless companion, still completely comfortable being carried by Sword in his arms.
He stares at them.
They stares at him.
Medkit's hand slowly reaches out toward them in genuine curiosity, immediately having his hand being swatted by them as they glare at him and saying something in gibberish. Sword immediately apologize in their behalf.
They're sentient enough, he mentally noted.
"I'm surprised they don't attack you?"
"I gave them some food er... I bought them some foods in hope I could attract them. In a way."
Medkit stares down at the hornless creature once more, he swears they look like they're ready to jump him any minute if he does something funny.
He could only sigh tiredly, it's already late and as much he has a lot of questions unanswered, he could clearly see the sloppy job of bandage Sword had done, "come inside, bring them to my examination table, I'd prepare some of the medical tools needed to fix them up."
Sword beams when Medkit agree to help, he slips into his apartment as Medkit himself close the door behind him, he doesn't understand why his hornless companion suddenly flinch out of nowhere, he was about to check them before their hand gripped his shirt tightly.
That's a calibration table right? It should be, even though you don't know the difference between medical beds, the sight of various medical tools besides it enough to make your heart hammer anxiously.
You stare as the teal horned demon make his way towards the medical tools you assumed their own, preparing necessary tools and sanitize them for safer interactions.
Blood pumping through your veins, heart and mind screaming for your body to move to an action, anything instead of lying dormant on your red demon companion, clearly they're trying to do inspection on you, a domestication, a dehumanization, something.
You need to move.
Your breath hitch as your grip on the red demon's clothes tighten, your gaze snap towards them talking to you, they had loosened their grip and you immediately took the opportunity, your hand doesn't hurt anymore.
With enough force, you push and wriggle on their grip with all the strength you got, catching them off guard as you fall from their cradle, landing yourself on the cold floor, you groaned painfully before standing up almost instantly.
Barelling yourself towards the teal demon and sending them tumbling and crashing to the medical bed with surprise, medicines and medical tools fall from the table due to the table making an impact against it, emitting various shattering and clattering noises.
You stumble on your feet when the red demon return their hold on you, not strong enough to grip or hurt you, which giving you an opportunity to turn around in their hold and facing them.
Your eyes immediately landed on their gladiator hatwear, your hands swiftly grab the visor and shove it down, they let out a surprise yelp as their vision obscured, giving your opportunity to shove your head under their chin and sending them tumbling to the floor.
Your head hurt from that, but you ignore it for now and run straight to the front door where they had brought you, you let out a curse when you try to twist the handle and it doesn't budge, clearly already locked, you were about to look around for nearby keys but catch the sight of the shadow with large horn.
You spun around on your feet and immediately being lifted up with ease by the teal demon, they said something in their own mother's tongue that you have the feeling they're cursing you, thankfully they don't have enough time to restrain your arms and rather hold you up like a cat under its armpit.
Your hands immediately reaches out and grab their horns, catching them by surprise before you forcefully shakes them and their head in addition, earning you painful yell from them as they let you go, and you immediately took the opportunity to barrel against them like a bull with your head, sending them crashing again against nearby wooden table.
Your eyes landed on nearby window, making immediate haste towards it, struggling against the lock before unlocking it, you let out a short gasp of victory before drawing it cries.
Unfortunately it was short lived before something snipes against your back and you let out painful cries, you catch the sight of the teal demon holding a revolver and aimed at you, what item he had injected buried quite deep within your shoulder.
Before you could register and reach out to the sharp item to pull out, your vision start to becomes blurry and fading, sudden tiredness embrace you as the adrenaline within your veins dying down, you stumble upon your feet before falling to the ground.
The collision against the hard cold floor is painful, but it slowly become numb when your vision start to fade and your eyes becomes heavy.
You feel tired.
Curse that teal demon.
Sword pants when he finally makes his way to the living room, eyes filled with worry and concern for his friend and his hornless companion, his heart jump to his throat when he see them lying unmoving — a needle like dart planted against their shoulder.
"Why did you do that?!"
"I have to," Medkit groans while holding his head, headache slowly forming due to the hornless gripping his horns with such strength and shakes him like maracas, he stands up slowly whilst holding the end of the falling table, "it's a very small amount of sedative, I believe it'll not harm them much, I hope."
His eyes goes back and forth between his dead sleeping companion and Medkit, taken back by his friend's insane action, not expecting he'd do such thing without actual danger being present.
Sword doesn't utter a word as he makes his way to the hornless, gently plucking the needle off their shoulder, he turn their body around and look at their face, peaceful with no sight of pain, he let out a small sigh of relief seeing it, at least Medkit being truthful.
The smell of their blood makes his breath hitch once more, the bandage that suppose to cover their wound slowly becoming undone — thanks to his own job not doing it right.
He gulped the saliva gathering in his mouth while breathing deeply, feeling the familiar beat of his heart hammering in his chest when the smell of their wound entice his senses.
"Careful now," Medkit chime, "It seems their species blood attract our senses to overdrive if we smells it too long."
"I, I know." He stutters.
Carefully he try his best to ignore the smells as he carries them, returning to the previous room where Medkit's personal clinic lies within, now half of the tools on the table before lies scattered across the floor and some medical bottles shattered.
Medkit asses the damage and could only sigh before looking back at him, "Lie them down on the table, please."
Sword comply without words, gently lying them on the table and be mindful of their wound, he can't help but groans as the smell of their blood continues to mess with his senses, hand flying to his head as he try to rub the aches away.
Medkit came from behind and lies his hand on his shoulder, giving gentle reassuring pats, "I'd take care of them, you should go home, Sword."
"But—"
"I will call you later to talk about their condition, you can also visit them again in the morning."
He could only let out a small sigh at that and nod, he's not wrong that he should go home now before getting a much more longer lecture from Venomshank.
With a nod he bid Medkit a goodbye as he make his way towards the front door, opening it with the keys lying nearby.
He looks back again to catch a glimpse of the hornless sleeping peacefully on the table, chest rising up and down to show they're still breathing and alive, before the sight was concealed with Medkit walking towards their sleeping figure and inspecting their wounds.
Sword sigh wistfully, hoping they'd be fine tomorrow, maybe he could bring some foods again as an apology.

I do not expect there would be a lot of folks want me to continue this story holy, but I'm grateful you guys like it enough and wish to be tagged for the next chapter!
My personal HC is that inphernals are way much stronger than human in general, a newborn spawn/inphernal equals to average adult human's strength, their body are build that way due to hard and violent environment they lived in from young age and how they need to survive so they could at least reaches adulthood or someone that will took them in, reason why the reader described as light when being carried by Sword.
Medkit describe reader to have earthly color skin due to us in general are not paper white like some inphernal nor grey, I'm not sure if that's the best description, but I'd see a better way to describe our skin in the future in more exclusively way (I'm open for suggestions since I don't speak eng).
Also i tried my best to describe the inphernal as close as possiblle to how Soda drew them (+ small hc of them having claw for hands hehe).
That feelings when loving a character so bad till the point, yourself are weirded out whenever you see people's different interpretations slightly off canon or you have the mental feelings they would NOT be like that. It's hell on earth. Head in hands.
