A new first!!

Hi guys,

Recently I’ve been looking into more brands and products I haven’t tried before and a lot of people have recommended me to try Zoeva products. Now I’m very aware of their famous makeup brushes and I pretty hear everyone mention the brand is so many beauty tutorials but I have never tried their products.

So I decided to look into some gift sets and see what I could find and luckily I found the perfect starter set. In the Debenhams sale I found such a cute mini set for £7.50 called Zoeva Caramel Melange. This set when it was full price was £15.00 and includes a mini eyeshadow palette and a blending brush. 

The mini eyeshadow palette in this gift set is so adorable and a easy size to throw in your handbag. Of course I could of picked a palette with bolder colours etc but the nude tones once again caught my eye and I couldn’t leave it. As you can see there are 3 mattes and 3 shimmers in the palette, while these shades are really pigmented the colour story is very subtle for a everyday look. I have been pairing this palette with two very different looks, one is a nude gloss and the other is a bold red lip. Either choice compliments the palette really well. I also love like I mentioned earlier this palette comes with a mini blending brush. Again easy to throw in your bag and the quality of the brush is really good too, blends shadows like nobody’s business.

Trying this palette out has really impressed me with the quality of pigment and formula of colours. I think Zoeva and is a brand again I’m going to have to try out more products of. This is a prime example of why I love gift sets and mini sets because you get the chance to try out products without breaking the bank!

Happy Thursday everyone! Here’s a throwback/old art vs new art I did a few weeks ago.

To the left is the first time I drew my Overwatch character Zoeva, her hero name is Brujah, and first time ever using a tablet. Like any beginner I had no idea what I was doing and was just feeling my way around since the only medium I knew prior was hand drawing. I learned so much since then, mainly how to steady my hand and to play around with different layer types.

Honestly I still feel like a novice at digital art but doing these comparisons makes me see the bigger picture and all the progress I’ve made. Hopefully I get to bring her back in this new year and actually write out her backstory this time!
