After an especially crazy night, so many villains that were strong… it's like all of them ganged up on Peter just this one night. A perfect ambush. Peter was bloody as hell, beat up, horrible. He looked like a beat up Pou. Bruises, black eyes, DEFINITELY multiple broken bones, cuts and some organs didn't feel too good. But, Peter didn't want to go to a doctor, no! What if they unmasked him? Revealed his identity? I mean, he literally did that mind wiping spell a bit ago and he didn't really want to repeat that. He didn't want to go to Frank either. Frank had his own shit to deal with. Peter sometimes went to Frank, you know? Frank stitched his own stuff up, popped shoulders in, ya know? But, never really this extensive. Peter needed lots of medical help. But, he really had no one to go to.
That was, until he remembered… He'd heard about this doctor, this unique little doctor. Unlicenced. Which, normally, would be a concern for…well anyone! But, this doctor had a reputation. He was apparently one of the best doctors IN THE WORLD! So, he called his number. Black Jack was the name of this great physician.
Black Jack was cooking, making dinner with the help of Pinoko… Black Jack had had a long day, he'd just got out of a long surgery. But, he still wanted to make some food for Pinoko. Even if she offered to do it herself since he was tired, he did not let her… The second he sat down, waiting for the food to cook. Maybe just sleeping for 5 minutes, or maybe more. Pinoko could definitely get the food out herself, she had lots of cooking and baking experience.
RING!
RING!
RING!
He jolted up, but… he let it ring. Black Jack always let his phone calls ring, after all. All he needed to know is the information he set up on his answering machine. Ya know, name, phone number, Injury severeness, just everything.
“Uh… hi! I'm Spider-Man..”
As Pinoko heard that, she perked up! She loved Spider-Man, she was always watching him on the news and stuff when she wasn't helping Blackjack with his operations. She listened intently as he continued on the answering machine.
“ive got a lot of broken bones, uh… I'm bleeding a lot…urgent..” He said, giving his location.
Luckily! Black Jack and Pinoko were in a hotel in New York, very close to the place that was given to them. They both got up immediately, Black Jack got his supplies and the duo made their way to save Spider-Man.
As they got closer to this bloody scene, they felt a lump in their throats. But, still continued… Spiderman was a bloody mess! Immediately, Black Jack SPRUNG into action! Administering anesthetics and locking in. Just on the cold, hard ground. He was in critical condition! They didn't have time to get to a hospital or anything!
Black Jack went crazy, operating for hours on hours. It was exhausting, especially since he just did such a long operation too. Unfortunately, he did have to look under his mask. But, Black Jack would never tell. He knew the importance of this.
After Spider-Man woke up. He was feeling so much better, all stitched up, feeling GREAT! But, he realized Black Jack had found his identity! That was bad. But, he made Black Jack and Pinoko promise they'd never tell. There's not like he could do anything if they did because he didn't know Dr. Strange anymore, or anyone really. But, they obliged. Black Jack was a man of his word and a hell of a doctor. Plus, Pinoko met someone she thought was really cool and got an autograph from him too. It all ended well. Peter just had to rest up and let someone take over the New York heroes scene. That was entrusted to Ms. Marvel and the Punisher. An unlikely duo, but… hopefully it'd end up alright. Oh, yeah. He also had that new “Avengerz” group too, even though they kinda just came up out of the blue. They seemed alright enough.

Hello, Tumblr!!! I’m pinning this post because I am SO proud of how this turned out and I hope all my fellow Dororo and Tezuka Star System fans show up to support me on this one! I own a copy of Blood Will Tell that is caseless, so I really wanted to use the blank case I have and remake the cover for it… So I did! I also poorly cut together a booklet with it for printing purposes to put into the blank case. I don’t have a photo of that though, unfortunately. Regardless, I’m still very happy with how it turned out.
I wonder if Black Jack felt as if he were looking at another version of himself during this whole fiasco[in reference to episode 4 of the OVA, the Owl of San Merida]. Both of these characters were cast into the mold of war. In Black Jack's case, it was more of the residue of war though I still feel my point stands. It pushed both characters into valuing lives to the point of acting impulsively, terrifyingly so. Ernesto relied completely on instinct to save that child, just as Black Jack acts on instinct to immediately save or tend to his patients. Their moral compasses seem to force them into certain directions that place life above everything else. Black Jack has been seen strongly condemning actions like euthanasia, frequently arguing with people like Kiriko on what's truly more merciful and pushing all doubt against life away. In a certain volume of Black Jack(maybe vol. 3? don't remember), the man himself yells, "What is the purpose of a surgeon?!" to the heavens. Like Black Jack, Ernesto didn't even know what to do as a surgeon during the civil war. Ernesto himself didn't even consider himself a surgeon or a doctor, not even at the end of his life. There's also the fact that Ernesto and Black Jack both put up fronts instead of acting as their "true" selves. Ernesto opts to act like a too-far-gone victim of war, allowing him to slip away unnoticed or rather uncared for, while Black Jack does the inverse and charges people greatly in an effort to skew their perception of his moral character, drawing much attention to himself and therefore far more judgement. This all isn't even mentioning how similar Ernesto is to Honma. I wonder if Black Jack not only felt as if he'd committed suicide, but that he'd failed his mentor completely.

also idk if y’all know but i’m the ao3 author writing the shocking popular fullmetal alchemist/dororo crossover fic and idk maybe i’ll finish it one day. I’m just not a fan of how i’ve written it, but i still think the ship is cute. So maybe i’ll write a one shot fic with ed and hyakki idk, stay tuned.

Being a reader of color myself, I was prepared for certain aspects of the 70s manga to be rather outdated. However, seeing a manga that started in 2011 having panels like this:
is just so unacceptable to me. Especially when this was their depiction of a Black person only a few chapters ago:
You might have seen me bash the anime itself a bit, but in the anime a lot of this seems to be omitted(and yet several other... odd... things are still present). It is just a whole other level when you read the manga and are met with this.
