“It actually was okay today. I won several, lost a few but nothing sour from my opponents. No new champion this time around either.” Days like this were always good for him.

His grin stayed in place from the kiss. “I love you too, Nobori.~” If he were a cat there would be no doubt that he would be purring just from the other’s words alone.

     The Subway Master says nothing as he sits down, pulling the other down with him onto his lap. Wrapping his arms around him, he rested his chin on top of Grimsley’s head.

There was no resistance from the Elite as he was pulled down. He grinned and nuzzled at Nobori’s throat as he curled to him a bit.

He tried to keep a neutral face, but couldn’t as Grimsley hugged his arm. “I’m sure Mimikyu would love some attention from someone who wouldn’t choose Pikachu over it.” he hadn’t been there long, but he already heard enough tales about the little ghost type.

A smile appeared on the shorter man’s face. “I didn’t raise a Pikachu before I knew of them and I definitely wouldn’t pick one now.” He adored Mimikyu and wanted to catch one for himself. Yes, the Alolan Raichu was quite the sight but he’d never raise one if it upset a Mimikyu.

The Ex-Magma commander watched it go as well and looked at Grimsley again. “Now what?  We can go say hello to Mimikyu.” He replied teasing the man. “Maybe hug a Bewear.”

Grimsley lifted an eyebrow at him. “Okay, one, Mimikyu are adorable. I don’t care what you say. And two, you know Rose would throw a fit if I went near one of those things. I don’t care for them anyways, ya shit.” He chuckled a little and hugged the taller man’s arm.

“If you think so…. But please… Don’t go too long… I don’t trust these waves. They are too big…” The man watched the water again. He was scared, the waters here were strong. Warm, yes, but strong.

“Lucky for your peace of mind, I’m not going out on the water today.” He turned to look back at the Mantine. “I was told that the Mantine I ride there is ill. I just wanted to give him some comfort in hopes that he will recover faster.” The former Elite watched and waved as the Mantine returned to the water.

“You aren’t going to think its safe when you drown and become a Frillish.” Tabitha retorted. “Water isn’t safe, Grimsley.” He huffed a bit staring at the Mantine.

“Oh come now. You really think Cain would let me drown?” He stood and faced the other man. “And it’s plenty safe if you know what you’re doing. I think my high scores are proof enough of that.” He stepped over to Tabitha and placed a hand on his cheek. “And I never go out when it doesn’t feel right.”

“You worry too much.” Grimsley was knelt down in the shallow waters of Ula’ula Beach, gently petting the head of the Mantine he frequently rode. “The Mantine are perfectly trained for this and safe.” He said to the man he knew was several feet away due to the water.

Ah the bartender heard them. “Usually all storekeepers or bartenders know what’s going on in their home territories. So you aren’t aware then?” Ruby eye’s studied the young man who had interrupted him. This man wasn’t just a regular bartender. Clearly he was in shape for something, probably a part time hunter. The man glanced around before he spoke again. “Collect your things and go, Altissia is not safe. The empire is planning to strike when the Lucian prince shows up to make covenant with the beast of the waters.”

Remaining quiet as the other spoke, recounting the rumors he’d picked up from Weskham on this exact topic. He knew just as much as the other man did but had different ways of confirming it. This right here was one of them. “Is that so?” He mused, looking up from the glass he was cleaning. “If that is the case I need to stay to help give shelter. My place is one of the safest in town.” Grimsley was quite skilled with his guns after all. Not to mention the Elder Courel asleep upstairs.
