Sometimes I forget that I am a badass. I forget that just 5 years ago I had a completely different life. I had a job I thought I was passionate about, and was working over 60 hours a week at times to get promoted. 5 years ago I had two parents and one of them developed an agressive cancer and would spend the next 2 or so years fighting it. Then 3 years ago I lost my parents and my closest uncle. I inherited a house that I was in no way shape or form mature enough to handle nor afford. 1 year ago I was unemployed and very alone. I was doing every substance at every party on every weekend and I didn’t see an end in sight.

And now today I’m in my dream career, able to see I’m surrounded by genuine people I’m so grateful to have met, and optimistically thinking about the direction I am going to steer my life in.

I’m still sad. I still have moments where I think I’m not doing enough, but I’m writing this as kind of a milestone. In the future when I browse my socials I need this little blurb to remind just how much I’ve grown and how much of a badass I am.
