Wiggly wobbly mouse in my sketchbook using some techniques picked up at life drawing class.
A squiggly seahorse for a friend.
Squiggly hare
(via Showreel 2016)
A quick evening boar.
Yesterday I had a lovely quiet day with Nai painting in bed. Here is a scene inspired by a barking deer I saw in Sweden.
Some of my inktobers so far.
I moved to Marsden a month ago to be a trainee animator with Fettle Animation and have loved every day of it. (A part from Friday when I had to stay home from work with food poisoning or something.) Here’s a little mouse I made this weekend.
Zoe asked me to draw a rough tattoo design for her of a Romanian brown bear. This was the final design she took to the tattoo artist.
Earthen cabin in Småland, Sweden.
Known as “backstugas,” these cabins were common in the forests from the 1600s until the late 1800s. The structures were often built by on the border between two properties, generally on land that could not be farmed. It was not uncommon for the inhabitants to work for the landowners.
This particular cabin, which features three stone walls and one wooden wall, was built in the early 1800s by “Little Jon.”

A repeat pattern based on sketches I did in Southern Sweden.
You can buy a pillow or iphone case or notebook or something with this pattern on from my RedBubble shop.
A collection of photos from farm number two in Loshult
A small collection of photos to summarise our trip to Sweden so far.
1. A hare in the street Goteborg. 2. Roobus, our Wwoof host’s young dog who they rescued from a dog pound in Romania. 3. Pizza making! 4. Angle grinding the poles from the old big dog cage flat to make way for the lovely new shed we will build. 5. Dense pine forest 6. Crocheted dolls found in a charity shop in Perstorp that look a bit like Joe and I 7. The stray mummy cat and kittens doing well 8. Joe in the smithy during our blacksmithing workshop 9. More forest 10. A portable fire to try and keep the midges and Mosquitos away.
The hare I Lino cut for my dear friend Liam’s leg has been tattooed! So very stoked about this. I’m very happy with the improvements the tattoo artist made as well, like more fur lines on the arm where I got carried away scooping.
Another sketch made useful. The font is belta regular from dafont.com
