Brush Week 2025 Compilation

Lovely Xolotl

In Lovely Brush theme, I want to emulate Love Bullet's style in to my design. In the end, I went up having two color variants for my Lovely Brush. The first one, follows the brush's color palette. The second one, it follows the manga's color palette. I had fun making this design because you can fit many archetypes in to this and still make it work. Happy holidays!

Wretched Xolotl!!!

I tried drawing something a lot more simpler today and probably moving forward. I really want to add a background element but I quickly soon realized that it was not really worth it. Silly me. However, I want to go back with the designs and do a proper illustration for them. They all have a strong and unique alt direction that I each enjoyed dearly.

Anyways about the design, I originally want to try play around with a gothics vampire and a cultist vibe. My eye was really focused on implementing the Cthulhu and bat motif present in the brush. In the end, I chose the punk aesthetic since it would be a fun subversion rather than going to a demonic route.

For now, I will try to keep up with the current day's theme then catch up to some of the brushes that I missed on. Happy Holidays yall!!!

I had fun with today's theme, Garden Brush. At first, I went with a forest spirit type of vibe and it just stuck with me. I personally loved how it captured nature feel, especially how changing her hair to leaves adds to it a lot! On another note, I really dig her gardener design and would perfectly fit with today's theme. However, I wanted her design to lean more on the nature side and embodying theme. Finally, the fungi design was something that I really dig with but it would have a darker tone and it does not fit the palette the brush. Nevertheless, today was a fun challenge and I love the direction each design went through!

Plushie Xolotl

When designing for plushie brush, I was thinking on having a western/shepherd like vibe. In addition, having a vibe where it can be played with a child. I went for different vibes and thinking on how to design her outfit. In the end, I went to this because its a very simple design while having a childlike wonder to her.

Hello I am Marby! This is my first post in Tumblr and I hoped you liked my work kekw! :3

I decided to crop it to make it look fine in this format, and below is the full design!

Before starting the challenge, I asked myself to whether or not to make my OC, Xolotl to either dress up for the theme or embody it. In the end, I chose the latter. Originally, I wanted her to retain her original color palette and make her void-like. However, this would not fit with the current theme. In the end, I decided to design her like a celestial deity that embodied the space theme. I enjoyed painting her and I want to try post a speedpaint in the future!

Here's a character sheet for Xolotl if anyone is interested. I hope this provides an idea on how much I wanted to push the theme and make her embody it.
