Already thinking about being outside and it’s not even winter yet.
It is seldom that I use the whole frame of a 35mm slide — despite shooting almost exclusively 35mm I never quite liked the proportion — but here it somehow seems to work. My favourite from an essay I photographed in Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana for The Plant.
A piece of the façade of Joseph Urban’s New School building on West 12th Street.
Somewhere in Belgium.
A piece of a quilt by Susan Ciancialo, at her home in Brooklyn.
One of my favorite musicians, Actress, for Interview Magazine.
A portrait.
Luis Barragán’s Casa Gilardi.
Same cloud formation as previous post, closer look.
Shag Point, New Zealand.
The California desert.
One of my favorite portrait assignments. I photographed Vito Acconci for Modern Matter some time go. Always have thought that he looked like one of those beautiful Easter Island statues — he was a lovely, brilliant man.
A little (or a lot) hyper real.
Believe it or not, this is house.
A saved half-frame.
Clara in a desert sunset.
Traffic in Los Angeles.
