This is me and my friend Kanna from Japan. She doesn’t speak English, so over the course of the summer we invented a handshake to keep each other’s spirits up and to celebrate, even through the language barrier.

This season, Mandarins earned the highest score we have ever gotten in our 53 year history. But I won’t be remembering our score or placement, I’ll be remembering things like this. I love drum corps.
