apparently youre supposed to perform. they love it when you perform. but it has to be authentic. they hate it when it's not authentic. but you have to perform.

WHY DO I HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT LIFE AND MONEY WHY CAN'T I LIVE LIKE THE WOMEN IN THE MANGA I READ
well I finished the anime seasons and continues on with the manga
I... really don't get it. Why is this so hated? I was scared the whole times of it genuinely going sideways, assassinating the characters or breaking the core beauty of the story, but not really, I think the ending was very fitting.
Now would I have liked this in the form of a happy slice of life? Yes. but then I would have preferred that with Ai present, her death sealed it for me that the story will be tragic in many parts.
Started oshi no ko today and got through 4 episodes. Now I do have my reservations and I still have my guard up because I'm aware of its reputation, but I'm really liking it so far.
First episode first, it got me so emotional. I can't put my finger on it, but the combination of Ai's personality, how she lived her life, her relationship to her kids made the impact hit 10 times worse. Just when she realized she had something she loved, she immediately lost it all. And my heart ached for Ruby and Aqua too like they were actual toddlers who lost their actual mother.
Secondly, while aqua's story is the main one, and I'm genuinely interested in it, I can't help but hyperfixate on ruby and how she goes through life considering she never got to make it past 12 and this is all actually new and fresh to her, she actually has a future to look forward to and a life to live and it feels so nice.
I am still prepared for disappointment, but I hope it's not actually crushing. This story is beautiful and I hope no matter what they messed up it didn't ruin that core part.
I hate how normalized it became for people to flaunt willful ignorance/incompetence
It is NOT cute or endearing in any shape or form. All you are signaling is "I am a pain to be around and people have to suffer when dealing with me"
and a little more fucking the wound for my friend here please
guy in the elevator with us just announced that a river appeared in the desert somewhere for the first time in 2000 years, and the prophecy is complete. another dude (did not arrive with the first guy) nodded affirmatively and said everything is in its right place
