Leadership Lee Participants Perform Community and Public Service

A joint effort of the Auburn and Opelika Chambers of Commerce, the Leadership Lee County program consists of nine monthly meetings and kick-off sessions and requires participants to attend seminars on the third day of the month from October through May. Tuition is $750 and covers all program costs, including application fee, materials, meals, and the retreat. The Leadership Lee County class of 2015-2016 graduated this May, participating in several community events over the past year. For their service project, the class participated in an endeavor to build a playground at the Twin Cedars Child Advocacy Center. In addition, they attended the Live2Lead Opelika event, an educational seminar at the Jule Collins Smith Museum, and higher education sessions at Southern Union.
