Lisette passed by as she head Margaux speaking to a waitress whom had been walking by her too slowly. “Ms. St Clair, I am sure the 16 year old waitress is harmless enough. Besides, pensez-vous vraiment qu'elle peut parler français?” She asked with a smirk, knowing that those who spoke 2 languages had an advantage over those who only spoke one.

Margaux turned her eyes on Lisette. “Harmless, unlikely.” A sour look took over her face as she watched the girl scurry away. When she spoke again, it was in her native French. “It does not matter if she knows the language or not. People need to learn not to eavesdrop.”

Honestly? I really wish I could have a valid opinion on a place like this…Like.. I haven’t been to enough fancy restaurants to know what makes this one special…

I just know me and my friends from around here won’t be able to afford anything on the menu once this night ends so I’ma stock up.

I believe that would be it. I had just graduated with my Masters from Paris and was celebrating with the family. I have made a good living doing what I enjoy, yes. I work hard for the lifestyle I was raised with. How are you doing Madame St Clair? I hope you are well.

Yes, I distinctly remember your aunt being ever so proud of you. Adrienne is never shy with her emotions. I am glad to hear that. Hard work is the only reputable way a person can survive in this world. I am fine. Launceston is nothing like Paris and it has taken some getting used to. Nevertheless, we move forward always.

“The pleasure is all mine, I assure you.” Margaux inclined her head in a show of thanks, her smirk never leaving her face. It was the closest expression she ever came to smiling outright. “You had no need to be. As you say, the attendance is overwhelming. As for hope, I am sure Mistrals will bring plenty to this part of the city.” Margaux took a sip of her champagne. “Do let me know if you require any help. I like to see entrepreneurial ventures succeed, especially when devised by one of our own.”

I think to make an inch of difference in Brenton, a complete overhaul of the borough is needed, as opposed to a single venue. But then again, if anyone could arrange such a thing…

I happen to agree with you on that subject. First, a foot in the door, next, redecorating the entire house. I have not redecorated in quite some time. Perhaps the time has come to change that.
