Billy Hargrove went toe to fucking toe with the Mind Flayer in the end. He DESERVED a two second clip in the fucking montage.

Stood up solo in front of a monster and used his bare hands to save El.

Yelled at the face of death despite being frightened and knowing his end was coming.

Prevented the end of the world as we know it.

Billy and Henry both being under the control of the Mindflayer makes Billy's sacrifice so much more meaningful for his character. He fought the mind control and chose the right side. Chose to save the children... He was a lifeguard at heart, chose fighting the monster and ended up giving his life with saying he was sorry under his dying breath that he couldn't be that sooner.

Henry had a choice and he chose to be evil. He chose to be the monster.

Two humans, two different paths by choice.
