[Harrison didnât try to hold back his laughter. He was caught, but it was okay. Not a day went by where he didnât laugh at Margo about something, or she was laughing at him. There was a sort of unspoken agreement between the two of them that laughing at each other over their idiotic comments or uncomfortable situations was completely fine. It was them, it was comfortable and safe.] I donât know. I donât think so. [Harrison beamed at Margo as she blushed, Margo blushing was probably one of his favourite sights. Usually he would try to hold back his smile or at least try to contain it, but this moment felt different, like he didnât have to hide the way he felt towards Margo. It was moments like these, the little things she did, that he realized how beautiful she was, so full of life, and how much she added to his life. It used to startle him, the feelings that warmed his chest whenever he saw Margo, even thought about her, but she was so different from the other girls, and she treated him differently. It was hard not to love her when she was so obviously okay with everything that Harrison was, and that wasnât easy to do. Kissing Margo was something that was easy for Harrison. It wasnât as easy for Margo, which was why his favourite kisses that they shared were the ones she instigated. When she kissed him, just then, he pressed one hand to her lower back, pulling her in, the other hand cupping her face. He always reminded himself to take baby steps when it came to Margo, and it was rare that he could be selfish like this, touching her and kissing her and loving her the way he always wanted to.]
[There was a secret turning point in the ins and outs of their mouths, it seemed that the kiss solidified and switched everything in just one touch. Possibly, they would not have one like this again for a while, Margo curling back up into the awkward turtle she was, but if there was hope that this was ever going to happen again well...that was enough. It seemed like a kiss for the first time, because instead of tensing up under Harrison's fingers Margo softened. They could enjoy it, no hesitation. She sighed into him, her free hand stretched to lean over his shoulder, curving around his neck. The baby hairs at the bottom of Harrison's neck trickled on Margo's fingers, she moved her hands up to play with them. Smiling into the kiss, between breaths she giggled at how foolish she expected to feel and how opposite that was. If anything, she felt foolish for having avoided this for so long. The soft, fluttery laughter made her shake a little against him. She was much closer now, their chests and clothes touching, and the tight hand she had squeezing his shirt loosened and rubbed down his stomach. She wanted to say something by force of habit, tell him he was a dummy, push him, say that she hated him but she couldn't. Even if she was kidding, she didn't hate him, she was just scared to do the opposite. Â Love, that wasn't like them, not separately at least.]Â
[Looking at how tense Margo was, it made him sad; somewhat. Just before that happened they were as comfortable as they could get with each other. She knew him best - eventhough he didnât show it. He wasnât even as comfortable with his own sister, Emrys. And yet after that he just didnât know what to do anymore. He saw her with Harrison too many times and it hurt - more than he had expected it to. But of course he wanted her to be happy so he let her be.] Nowhere in particular. I thought youâd be at the party though. [He raised an eyebrow, though very subtly as her actions got more nervous. It was weird seeing her this way. He was used to her wrapping an arm around his shoulder and forcing him to accompany her by now - yet this was the longest they had talked in a looong time.] Oh yeah, sure. Why not? [He nodded curtly, pursing his lips lightly before digging his hands into his jeans pockets. Being in the situation, he was reminded of what his mom told him when she found out that him and margo werenât talking. It was hard to imagine his mom was in a similar situation as he was now but he decided - right there and then; even though making quick decisions was a thing his sister did - that they should be best friends again. Yes, he wanted her to be happy, but what about his own happiness? Maybe he really was his motherâs son.] Shall we? [He easily fell into step with her, readily knowing the route to her dorm.]
[There was a dryness in the air, a powdery awkwardness that Margo tried to kill as hard as she could. She was good at acting normal for the most part, containing her composure, and trying to make Dominic feel as comfortable as possible around her. After all, they never had a problem with this before. But you can't ignore and pretend things are okay forever, as though nothing happened. Margo's eyebrows rose and she edged a smirk.] Me? Nahhh, got a little claustrophobic at the thought of being in a tight hallway with a bunch of gross, sweaty strangers. I guess that's why you're not at the party too, huh? [When Dominic agreed to walk with her Margo's face lit up, there was something inside her that tapped open, something that had been dusty for a few months now. An old box, probably, that'd been waiting to be reopened.] Really? I mean-cool. We shall. [She curtsied whimsically before turning to walk beside him, she shoved him lightly on the arm.] So how you been, stranger? I talked to Em recently and she was telling me about your plans for the summer and stuff. Are you excited for next year? Â Â
[When Margoâs body completely froze as Harrison kissed her, he knew that maybe that wasnât the best decision. But she kissed him back, with as much enthusiasm as he originally put into the kiss. He felt her pat his arm, the trademark sign for Margo pulling away, and Harrison slowly opened his eyes almost scared to see her reaction. When Margo began to laugh nervously, he started snickering, covering his mouth as he began to laugh harder.] Iâm not laughing at you, I swear. [But he was, because theyâd been whatever-maybe-together for a few months now, and she still became a blushing, rambling mess every time he kissed her.] Were you? Well, rude, but I donât regret that so, Iâm not mad. [She began to spin, covering her face and stuttering out words about how he just needed to put in money and he celebrated silently, hoping that he had managed to weasle his way out of the swear jar this time.] I always win because Iâm not scared of kissing you. [He knew Margo wasnât scared of Harrison or of kissing him, but he enjoyed jerking her chain and make her fumble for an excuse.]
You're laughing at me! [Margo yelled back, but she didn't seem to mind much, she was used to it. That's what they did, they laughed at each other, Margo couldn't handle a damn kiss, and Harrison couldn't handle a sad girl. It was them, it would always be them, but they didn't seem to mind much. Margo nodded triumphantly.] Yes, and you actually felt for it but you didn't do what you were supposed to do. Do you ever? [With a hand on her hip, Margo tilted her head. Her cheeks reddened when Harrison admitted to not regretting their kiss, and it still pleased and scared her, how much he seemed to like her. It wasn't something she was particularly used to, and if you asked anyone they'd be quick to admit that no one predicted these two would get together. Margo's smile loosened, her lips moved around, teeth biting down, and her eyebrows edged inward as she thought to herself. She looked at Harrison, his clear face and bright eyes, his hair was messy and it was late now. Sometimes she liked to look at him, his goofy expression whenever they were together, his pointy nose and tucked ears, his lips. Iâm not scared of kissing you. He said it and she believed him, and she didn't know why she was always so scared of kissing him, so nervous that she'd do it wrong, that it wasn't like them or her. Margo dropped her arm from her hip, she looked down at Harrison's feet before her eyes flicked back up to his, and as soon as she took a step forward her hand laid on his shirt. Tightly, she gripped the fabric, mostly for herself, mostly to make sure she was standing, holding on, not afraid. She tiptoed forward and closed her eyes, kissing him. She was kissing him, and contrary to the rapid beating of her heart, the warm feeling at the bottom of her tummy, she didn't feel afraid.]Â
[He heard her voice before his eyes could meet hers. He stopped himself from looking up, letting her go on with her usual apology before she realized it was him. He knew already how she would react; a confused smile. A slight uneasy tone. They hadnât talked much since that incident, but he still knew her well. It was one of the perks of had being best friends since their first year, as much as they were distanced now. Dom allowed her to ask him that out of topic question too and he simply let a moment fade before finally looking up at her; offering her a small smile] Hey, Margo.
[There was a time that Dominic was everything to Margo. He was her best friend and he understood her more than anyone did, not to mention she was flailing over him for a long time. It was creepy and kind of crazy how Harrison made her feel, and how sudden her feelings had switched. The truth was, she never stopped liking Dominic, never that quickly. The reason what happened actually happened was because Margo had looked at both boys, both boys whom were very different and she felt very differently towards, and she decided that she was tired of waiting. She waited forever for Dominic to realize she'd been crushing on him, but she wasn't going to wait with Harrison, she wasn't going to lose another chance to tell someone how she felt, she wasn't going to lose a possibly good thing. What she hadn't expected to happen in the process was losing her friendship with Dominic, she always knew they were stronger than that. He was quiet and a little tense, and it saddened her because she could see just how much the whole thing had affected them. Margo figured it'd be easy to part ways now but she didn't want to, she loved Dominic in every way, and she knew that if she kept walking away she'd never fix their friendship.] Where ya headed? [She asked lightheartedly, her arms were crossed nervously.] I hope you're not in a rush, I'm on my way back to my dorm for the night. Would you wanna uhm...walk...me there? [Margo asked with hope, a single shoulder shrugged.]Â
[domâs thoughts were a bit off as he wanders through the empty halls absent-mindedly. most of the school are back at their dorms, but dom didnât just feel too comfortable that day and before he knew it, he was walking through hallways he didnât know existed. his eyes were glued down to his shoes when he was stopped in his tracks by a physical presence bumping into him.] Oh, sorry. [he croaked almost inaudibly, looking up slowly]
[It wasn't very late, a few before curfew but the hallways weren't busy. Whoever wasn't at the glow in the dark corridor party was in their room, and vice versa. It was the party alone that made Margo take a different route back to her tower, not being able to pass through certain places. She didn't think the switch would make her run into an old friend. Dominic and she, they used to be a lot closer, but the events earlier that year had caused a tense dent in the air around them. Margo was paranoid and nervous, so whenever she was around Dominic she felt guilty and sorry for all the different things she threw at him in one sitting. They never really got to talk about it.] Omph. [Margo let out a huff as her body smacked into one coming in the opposite direction, she wasn't paying attention. She gripped onto the body to keep it from falling over.] Oh my god! Wow I'm so sorry, I'm so clums- [Margo stopped her natural apology when she realized who it was, looking up at the familiar boy and sporting a confused smile.] Hey! Hi, hello. [She didn't really know what to say to him. They spoke sometimes, but not in a while and never for long.] Are you okay?Â
Yes, Margo, you cause me a tremendous amount of pain. [He was, of course, teasing, but suddenly the look on Margoâs face changed, and she was tearing up, burying her face in her hands.] Wha- [Harrison felt himself panic. He didnât deal with people being upset, and he definitely didnât deal with people crying. On one of the first maybe-I-guess-itâs-a-date dates heâd had with Margo, theyâd watched a sappy movie that he didnât even remember the title of, and he didnât need to, because he got up and left the moment Margo started crying half way through. She was tough, and never cried, so seeing her cry now made him nearly hysterical.] I was kidding! Jesus, donât cry, please, Iâm sorry- Iâm a great person, seriously, you make me awesome! [He used a finger under her chin to make her look up at him.] Donât cry becauseâŚÂ [As he stared at her somber face and teary eyes, his panic escalated and he did the only thing he could think of doing; he kissed her, right there, in the middle of the hallway.]
[Margo tried not to laugh as Harrison freaked out beside her, her soft giggles blending in with the sound of her whimpering. She could feel him beside her panicking, his arm resting on her, his voice at a frantic volume. Margo expected him to cough up the cash to make her feel better, to which she would grab and laugh because she had won this little battle. Shortly after she would run away before she too had to put money in. What Margo hadn't expected was for Harrison to pick her covered face up gently, his thumb sliding over chin, his lips planting themselves quickly onto her unsuspecting pout. Margo was caught completely off guard, she closed her eyes tight and let him kiss her. Her hand on his shirt had tightened, and she started patting him to let him know she was pulling away, shaking her head and laughing somewhat nervously.] I'm kidding! [She was calling out through her giggles, and she looked up at him with a wide guilty smile.] I was kidding! Harrison! [Pushing him halfheartedly, Margo didn't know what to do with herself. She rubbed her eyes and did a three sixty, presumably scanning the hallway they were in but it was all kind of blurry to her.] All you had to do was put mon- I can't. [Margo covered her face, which was red and embarrassed because she was trying to prove a point and she had completely forgotten it. They'd been doing..whatever they were doing for months now, for a long time, but nothing had changed, nothing would ever change. When Harrison kissed her Margo still didn't know what to do with herself.] And you thought I couldn't do serious. [She turned quickly, and pointed her finger right into his chest with a smile she couldn't wipe.] I hate you so much how do you still win you always win I-hmph.Â
Yeah, see, so, yâknow, yeah. [He struggled to find a sentence that actually made sentence, but eventually gave up, feeling comfortable knowing that Margo was okay with the fact that he would definitely never make sense.] Yes, you cause me a lot of pain, Margo. You have to apologize. [He leaned back, looking down at her with his signature smirk.] Thanks. [He used to pretend to be offended when Margo teased him about the idiotic things he said, but he kept saying them. She was the only one whose eyes would light up when he mentioned facts about rotting bodies. Her laughing at his insulting remarks at random strangers in Hogsmeade was what made him realize that she was a keeper.] You canât do serious, we both know that. [He disregarded the last comment, just as Margo noticeably disregarded Harrisonâs confession that he wanted her around, maybe even for good. This was something that was common between the two of them, if they didnât know how to react or deal with a situation they just dropped it completely. It was kind of fucked up and nothing really got sorted that way, hence why they canât come to terms with the fact that they are a literal couple, but it was how they worked and it was comfortable and neither of them got angry over it.] You said it! You just said it and we agreed that swearing as an example counts! You have to pay too. [He dropped his hold on her, giving her space after she had turned around, instead pointing accusingly at her back even though he knew she wasnât looking.]
Yeah, I know. [Margo couldn't help but giggle at Harrison, as it was rare for him to be the one at an awkward loss for words when they were together. She tried to enjoy it and keep him calm at the same time. Margo played sad, her lips frowned and her eyes softened towards the boy.] I cause you a lot of pain? [She looked downward, sat on the nearest edge of a seat in their proximity, and buried her face in her hands. She didn't cry, but the edges of her eyes were glossy and her voice grew scattered and husky.] I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I don't mean to, I just really-. I don't want you to hate me! [She mumbled it into her hands.] I just want you to be a better person, no cursing or anything.Â
[He knew right away that Margo had figured him out- she always did. He was pretty sure that Margo knew every time he was ever nervous around her, but she never said anything, which he silently appreciated and also hated.] No. Being nervous is for normal people. [Feeling her fingers brush the base of his spine caused his heart to beat sporadically again, and he rolled his eyes, trying to pass off his nervous antics as something merely ordinary.] There is no image. I just have angina, itâs a serious disease, okay? [The privacy she offered was appreciated but brief, her next words causing him to tense. He was preparing for her to get upset again, and before she even finished talking he was figuring out what to say to make it better. Instead, he just shrugged, with a soft chuckle.] Yeah, well, a lot of things I say are dumb. [But he understood what she was saying. She wasnât a kid, and he couldnât make decisions for her. She was responsible, enough for the both of them. He trusted her with everything he had, and he knew it was like wise, which made him almost bitter with guilt for snapping at her earlier.] Iâm glad you donât know what you mean that makes me feel so much better. [As much as he tried to be serious in the situation, he was still Harrison, and there was a small part of him that would make sarcastic comments when situations started getting tough. He sighed, starting over again.] I donât mean to be worried, because Iâm not your dad, or your brother, even just thinking about that is weird. I just. Plan on keeping you around for a while. So. I donât wanna, like, accidentally fuck up. [Her confused face and pout made Harrison grin. Every time she pouted like that it reminded him of the first time she displayed her award winning puppy dog eyes, that were so adorable it even cracked him] Good. Okay. [The swear jar. Fuck. Shit. Sometimes Harrison wished that Margo just forgot about the damn jar, just for a few seconds, she was running him out of house and home.] Not the jar, Margo, câmon, itâs been two weeks Iâve been good. Give a poor guy a break!
Oh, true, and you are definitely not normal. [Whatever mood their conversation was before had seamlessly shifted into their normal state, and Margo's teasing of Harrison  easily caused her lips to curve.] Angina? ...Well I guess that makes sense, you do kind of look like you're in pain. [She tried not to laugh, only waited for Harrison's expression to change.] True. [She agreed with him, but she loved most things he said, whenever he wasn't being a complete ass. She even loved when he would randomly mention one of the weird facts he knew, and what usually crept other people out about Harrison were her favorite things. She looked at him with a pained expression when he admitted to his shared confusion, but she quickly dropped the face and started laughing. She shoved his shoulder playfully.] I was trying to be serious! ..We were never really good at mutually understanding things anyway. [Margo noticed that as he spoke about them, about how he kind of felt about her presence in his life, the chattiness had silenced. They hadn't really talked about him graduating, and it made her nervous because he wasn't in her life that long but she couldn't remember what it was like when she didn't talk to him everyday. It didn't matter that he was her maybe-somewhat-boyfriend, he was one of her best friends, and she wanted him in her life too. She wasn't looking at him as he said it, having turned around for a moment, and was now fiddling with her sweaty fingers. He couldn't see the panic in her face as she tried to hold back what she didn't know she was feeling. She didn't even comment on it, instead quickly turning around.] It could have been three weeks if you didn't say shit! I mean-good shmood, the jar has mercy on no one.Â
Nowhere With You - Joel Plaskett Emergency
[Harrison sighed with relief. It was comforting to know that Margo was confused about their relationship as well, and it wasnât just him drowning over here. When Margo relaxed at his touch, resting her head on his chest, his heart sped up, as if it knew that she could hear itâs every beat, as if it were beating for her, because half the time, it was.] I donât get nervous. [He did.] I get morally worried for you. [Her whole body shook for half a second before stiffening completely, and he was used to the routine, even prepared for it whenever he told her things like this. Sometimes she just got uncomfortable, sometimes she warmed up to him even more. He was grateful that it was the latter today. He felt her resting her chin on his chest, but couldnât strain his neck to see her, so instead rested his chin on her forehead. It wasnât meant to be cute, he knew that they looked completely ridiculous, but 75% of the time they did anyway. That was their version of cute.] Whatever, blackmail doesnât do shit for me. I have tons against you anyway, love, yâknow that right? But Iâm glad you like me at least a little. [When her face dropped back to itâs original position, he kept his chin on the top of her head. Margo being a good head shorter than Harrison was one of his favourite things- not because itâs the perfect reason to tease anyone, but because he knew that Margo would never let anyone forget if they used that against her. She was small, but tough, and he loved it. Even now, talking about something that was never talked about between the two of them, she didnât back down.] Okay. [It was all he could think to say. Hearing that Margo was comfortable wasnât surprising, but the two words tacked onto the end, âwith youâ, she was comfortable and she was comfortable with him. He swallowed nervously, his heart speeding up a bit again.] Good. [Heâd confessed enough about his feelings for one day, and hoped Margo understood that he appreciated everything she was saying, he just didnât know how to reciprocate with words at this point.] Hey, remember when I said I have shit against you too? Besides I like your full name.
[Margo listened attentively, hanging onto the ends of his words for something special. Listening to the soft thumbs of his chest speed up under her, she giggled as he claimed to never get nervous, just like he claimed to not be involved in a lot of other human things she knew he secretly was.] You don't? [She whispered, her face was still comfortably on his shirt, and her fingers played with the bottom seam on his back.]Â ,,Because your chest is doing this weird thumping thing and I'm a little concerned for the image you're trying to keep up. [Margo smiled at the end of her ramble, but she let it fade, looking downward shyly just in case he needed a second to react to what she'd pointed out in private.] Morally worried for me? [She repeated him lowly and in thought, thinning her lips at the topic. She didn't know what to make of it, what exactly it meant. Margo understood that Harrison and her were different, and he didn't want that to effect who she was, but she did. That was the point right, of maybe kind of loving someone? They became so much a part of you that you had stolen parts of them and buried them under your skin as if they were always there, as if they did not change you, but bring out a different you.] That's dumb. [She replied shortly after.] You shouldn't be..like, worried for me. You know I'm always going to..be me, and do what I think is right? Most of the time, at least. I mean, I know I make decisions based on how it effects everyone else and stuff but, I mean. I don't know what I mean actually, but don't be worried for me, please? [Margo wore a face of confusion, like she couldn't collect her thoughts enough to make sense of it all, but she wanted to, and she wanted him to know he didn't have worry about anything. She pouted, and quickly moved onto the next subject.] Okay. Good. [She nodded lightly, and gave him a soft smile to reassure them both.] It's excessive, and if you think that's enough blackmail to win anything you don't know me at all. And di..did you just curse? You did! [Margo pulled off from him instantly, with a broad smile.] It's been two weeks! You broke two weeks! You know what that means! The jar.Â
I donât know I just thought that- [He paused, taking a deep breath to slow his rapid speech.] I didnât know you wanted to be more than friends. Like, I know you kinda did but I didnât know you like wanted that. [He moved the hand that was resting on Margoâs shoulder to her back, unsure of what to do. He considering rubbing her back to soothe her, but figured he had treated her like a kid enough for one interaction.] No, itâs not that I wouldnât- Margo, Iâm so used to the chickening out part and that suddenly didnât happen and I didnât know what to do. [He pulled her closer with the hand on her back.] You do realize that Iâm crazy about you right? [He flinched at her last sentence, sighing slightly.] Youâre not a spaz, and I didnât want to treat you like one. Itâs just- I donât know how to do commitment. And I donât know how to⌠not flirt with anyone. Or have sex with people, okay, Iâm a seventeen year old boy and. I donât want anyone but you and Iâm willing to do anything for you, Iâm willing to wait and I wasnât expecting that it just startled me. [He brushed a piece of hair behind her ear, leaning down and trying to catch her gaze.] I donât want you to think I donât want you. I just also want you to be comfortable with everything youâre doing.
I didn't know either. [Margo replied after Harrison's rapid search for words, she let out a little chuckle afterwards, because their mutual confusion about their relationship was amusing in some way. She felt silly after all of this, but she couldn't help it, and she was glad they were finally talking about things. She always felt nervous when she talked to Harrison about how she was feeling, but after she did it she always laughed and wondered why she was afraid in the first place, he always made her feel okay again. She felt his hand slide down her back comfortably, and it was a tingling feeling that pushed her forward and killed the tension filled space between them. Margo plopped her head down on Harrison's chest, and mumbled into his shirt.] I know, I was a little surprised myself actually. I thought the wind pushed me. I'm kind of glad I shocked you though, I like it when you're not expecting things. You get nervous too. [When Harrison continued she stiffened, she was always cautious when he said things like that, things that completely contradicted himself, and she felt weird but special to have been the cause. She lifted her head up, her chin now on his chest, and she could see mostly his own chin. She had a soft smile, trying not to get over dramatic over him, but there was a tease to her voice.] Crazy about me huh? That's going to be fun to use against you. I might like you too, a little. [She laughed, and he could feel her body shake against him like a vibration. Her face dropped however, and she began to bite at her lip again as a nervous tick. Harrison went on to explain the problem, and she understood him, and she understood that he was just about as used to this as she was. It was new for both of them.] I'm sorry. I..it was...yeah. I know, and I'm..comfortable I am I just-[Harrison's fingers knit behind her ear as he pushed back strands of her hair, and she breathed in, just staring at him, listening to him. I don't want you to think I don't want you.] Okay. Good. And-I'm..comfortable. I am, with you. [She half smiled, her arms spread to hug around his waist, but she didn't know what else to say. She didn't know exactly what was in store for them.] Also-stooooop calling me by my full name!Â
[Harrison hadnât expected Margo to ask him that- that was untouched territory, didnât they have a silent agreement to never go there? But he knew that she was obviously serious, her teasing tone momentarily gone.] I- What do you mean? I thought⌠we just. Didnât. Werenât. Weâre. Margo and Harrison. [Suddenly Margoâs face changed completely. When she jerked her hands out of Harrisonâs grip he blinked, confused by the harsh reaction. Maybe he sounded too harsh himself, but what was he supposed to think? Was she even joking any more? He could see that she had begun to turn away, and panicked, reaching forward and grabbing her shoulder.] Hey, Margo, whatâre you doing? Whereâre you going? [He tried not to sound angry, but he was frustrated. He didnât want her to walk away when things got hard. If anything that was his job.] I donât know what just happened I thought- I thought that you were joking, and then you just. Went for it, I thought you were like. Not into that. I donât want you to have to do it because Iâm teasing you or anything.
..What does that even mean? [She whined, confused and a little frustrated. She could tell he was caught off guard by this situation and so was she, but they were here and he obviously wasn't letting her get away very easily. She was the kind of person that ran away frantically when she didn't know what to do. She turned but Harrison put his arm out and she could feel his fingers tighten around her shoulder, she could hear the exasperation in his voice.] I was joking..at least, I thought I was. You were supposed to joke back, but you didn't, and like why? Like, you stopped me because if we weren't joking you wouldn't have like..wanted to...do anything? [She sounded questioning as she tried to get the words out.] I'm not..into that I'm just I...I'm, into you. And I wasn't doing anything because you were teasing me, but I wish you wouldn't treat me like a spazz. [Margo wasn't looking at him, and her arms had subconsciously crossed over her chest. Her hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail, pieces of blonde straying around her face, her jaw was tight.] I get that enough, I don't need it from you too. Â
[Harrisonâs smirk stayed on his face, if anything intensifying when Margo stepped closer. It faltered for a second when he heard her words, but he quickly composed himself.] Maybe- I kinda like you being a tease though. [He tried to joke with her, but as she continued to step closer and desperately grasped his pantsâ waist lining, he realized that maybe she wasnât joking any more.] [He had no idea how to react, instead quickly grasping Margoâs wrists and staring down at her.] Margo Camila Holiday Cadwell, what are you doing?
gifs who needs gifs not me.gif
Why? [The reply almost felt like it didn't belong, as it wasn't in Margo's previously teasing tone. She sounded almost..curious, desperate to know why Harrison preferred her as a friend and a tease rather than well..whatever couples call themselves. Perhaps she was just misunderstanding him, but there was a barely noticeable pout in her lip nonetheless.] [Just after that, when her hands had met with the fabric of his bottoms, he quickly got hold of her wrists and looked straight into her. She hadn't expected him to react so sternly, and it wasn't like she expected this to go anywhere. They were kidding, weren't they? One of them was going to cave eventually, make a joking comment, and walking away, but that's not what happened. Instead, Harrison was looking at her like she'd done something wrong, like she was obviously playing and playing too much but she kind of didn't want to be playing anymore. She was tired of playing. He breathed her full name and she panicked, and took what happened as a sign that it wasn't about what she was doing, it was about what he didn't want to do with her. She caught herself, and jerked back instantly, pulling her hands from his grip. Her body kind of shook from the motion, but she tried not to look at him.] Apparently nothing. [She said audibly, and she looked offended, and highly embarrassed, her cheeks turning dark pink.] Sorry, forget it wow. I'll see you later.
Because youâre a chicken. Iâm not nervous. Just tired of being friends with a tease. Are you gonna help me out here at any point?
...I'm not a chicken. [Margo looked up at Harrison, who was clearly much taller than her. Her eyes flickered from his to the small space between them now and she huffed.]Â And I am not a tease. And-maybe I wouldn't "tease" if I wasn't just your friend. [She shrugged a single shoulder and squinted at the boy, and when he beckoned her she took a step closer. Nervously, her hand twitched forward and she grabbed a hold of his pants' waist lining, but kind of just held on to it tightly for dear life and didn't move because what the fuck is happening brianna]
