“I want to give enough time for your Father and Grandfather to finish up anything they need to do. Enough time for anything set up in France.” He explained thinking about the time frame in his head. “How about a Christmas wedding?” He asked assuming four months should be enough time to do everything. “We just have to think where you’re getting your dress. If you want to do that here or have someone at home make it.” He offered though he knew he couldn’t be too much apart of it. “You don’t have to be ready for children within that time frame but I should be making my way within it and I would want you to come with me.”
“They would come in a moment’s notice but you’re right. I want enough time for everything too. No rushing.” Maria nodded in certainty, taking his hand into hers and beginning to play with his fingers. “A Christmas wedding?” She repeated, a smile growing on her lips. “Sure! A Christmas wedding sounds absolutely beautiful. A bouquet of red roses with baby’s breath all tied up in white ribbon... I would love that.” She figured that was a good enough time frame as well. “I could go searching with someone soon. I noticed a boutique in the village so maybe I’ll go there.” Though she didn’t have many girl friends and it was slightly sad to her that usually a mother would go with to help but she had never even had one. “Oh, I know that it’s just--- leaving. Finally. I can’t even imagine it. But I would go with you. Of course.”
