i feel like castiel has the typical american english accent. i headcanon him to be born in a big city, like new york or los angeles, due to his parents having a well-paid job that allowed that kind of life.
for that reason, i think chris pine (jack frostās voice actor in ārise of guardiansā) would be a perfect example of what his voice would sound like;
sassy, provocative, yet kind and genuine.
as mentioned in my amberās hdcs, i headcanon his family is german. both him and his sister can fluently speak german and they do have a little bit of an accent when talking in other languages.
someone like louis hofmann (werner pfenningās actor in āall the light we cannot seeā) would suit him good, even if his accent would be a little less marked than wernerās.
his tone is mostly quiet and low, but he does have his bursts of energy, especially when addressing castiel or others he doesnāt really like; thatās when the german kicks in the most.
oh, this boy is a gentle giant and his voice is definitely the deepest one, which is accentuated by the way he talks: basically whispering all the time. nobody knows whether itās shyness or just his normal way of speaking,
all i know is that his voice would sound close to josh oāconnorās (price charles in āthe crownā, season 3).
yes, he is british, with a beautiful londinese accent.
lucas zade jumann (gilbert blytheās actor in āann with an eā) would be perfect for him. just a little more expressive.
listen, this guy is a walking meme, okay? heād be dead serious for a moment and making questionable noises (yes, heās the type of friend that would moan when youāre on call with your mom) the second later. heās also freaking loud when talking and doesnāt even realize it.
another thing: heās scarily good at making impressions of anime characters. beware for phone pranks.
even after puberty hit, his voice still remains the sweetest of them all. his french accent only makes it worse, making jessie james grell (armin arlertās english voice actor in āattack on titanā) a pretty accurate option for him.
the voice actor isnāt french and i donāt really know if he ever played french characters, but just imagine his voice with a subtle french accent in it.
donāt get fooled though. the boy has lungs and, just like armin, can easily forget how loud he can get when upset. mostly happens when castielās around.
gosh i had so much fun writing these headcanons!! tbh i hope these are good, i mainly listen to italian stuff so my knowledge of english voice actors/actors is limited :,) lmk what you think, if the voices match what you think theyād actually sound like.
