It was a cold, quiet evening. Everyone in the EDF headquarters was asleep. The main corridor was empty, except for two huge robots - Shiny and Thunder. Maria was in her room, but she could not fall asleep. Something was bothering her, although she could not understand what exactly.
The girl got out of bed. She was wearing a nightgown and pants with a pattern reminiscent of Shiny. These pajamas were a gift from Alex. Maria left the room and carefully walked forward. After walking a little, she found herself in the main corridor, where Shiny and Thunder were standing. The huge robots were sleeping peacefully: Shiny was on the right, and Thunder was on the left.
Maria walked past them and headed for the exit of the headquarters. When she reached out to press the button on the panel and open the door, her hand touched a large metal part, which fell to the floor with a crash.
Shiny, hearing the sound, opened his eyes slightly. Thunder remained in sleep mode. Shiny stepped out of his stance and slowly walked towards the noise.
Maria felt the vibrations in the floor with each step he took. Her heart began to pound.
Maria: "Oh gods..." she whispered, her voice shaking with fear.
The girl quickly hid behind the shelf. Shiny entered the large room - the workshop where they usually fixed him or Thunder.
Shiny: "Hey... is someone here?" he asked loudly.
Maria held her breath. Even though she was an angel, a Seraphim, and her job was to protect Shiny and Thunder, she still felt fear in front of these huge robots.
