okay wowie my SGRB oc: Drillbit

this is just an old sketch coloured over

My idea for her was that she is Thunder’s ‘twin’, created just a while after the success of his creation / against his first Kaiju.

I’ve always considered Thunder as being more ranged in his attacks, so Drillbit was designed purposefully to have a melee fighting style; using her shield more often.

Because of her melee style, she’s always much closer to the Kaijus in battle which means that shes also bait for research. Every time she’s damaged, she’s examined to determine the full strength and potential of the Kaiju (which kinda means she’s off the field more often because of the desire to research first before full recovery)

super giant robot brothers oc... Hm.. Ok shes a redesign of an old oc from last year . I improved a lot and wanted to change her into an sgrb oc ... say hi to my girl Cascade Astronomica ^_^ she has a mech that has its own sentience, but in order to fight and defend - it needs to be piloted by her ... will work on dat soon

some. stuff about her; Shes from a neighboring planet thats close to what would be starface's home planet . her species isnt the exact same as dr starface's but are distantly related as their roots come from one that stemmed out from eons to where it is now. i have this idea where the edf has existed for many long years and there were different scientists (long before the dr roses) researching about the world and space (much like nasa) and her mother disguised as a human to learn about human life and worked at the edf when the dr roses were still probably much younger . but since she was alien, she still had to return to her home planet and continue to live a proper life than stay on earth. since it was mentioned that other blackholes/o.r.t's began appearing across the galaxy, she decided to research it herself and travel to further her information regarding it. thats when she found the dr roses also traveled to discover more about the ort as well

much like her mother, cascade wants to research about space and earth - but nothing defeats her passion to learning more about humans like how humans do with aliens! cascade works in the defense line of her home planet and was set out on a mission by her mother to enter the ort and land on planet earth, find the edf and take back some stuff she had left - since there were valuable pieces of information and items she had owned (she entrusted former scientists and workers to keep it locked somewhere until she returned). when she did she was found by the robots in her mech along with starface in his mech (who i headcanon; resides in the EDF to work with alex for the time being), blorgo ends up recognizing the mech and immediately knew who was piloting it. turns out he and cascade worked together back at the resistance on the other side of the ort to help cascade's mother and the dr roses in their mission - their mechs were even established together; only difference is cascade's mech is already sentient and can do stuff on its own, but can only fight when piloted

cascade is 17 in human years, much like blorgo - shes 7 in alien years. blorgo and cascade share a cousin-like bond; often calling eachother nicknames (cascade is called 'cass' by blorgo, and ... 'fishy' by cascade 😭) . thats practically it for the moment. i design her mech soon

So Zephyr reunites with the EDF after being gone for five years. Obviously he missed out on everything that happened in season 1, so he gets to eventually learn about what happened.

But then I thought about ep 4 “Upgrades” and Shiny getting very unauthorized upgrades

And came up with the stupidest lines of dialogue in existence

Thunder: Shiny and I have come to an agreement to switch between final blows whenever possible since the unauthorized upgrade incident.

Zephyr: What’s the unauthorized upgrade incident?

Thunder, showing upgrade Shiny: Shiny felt unsatisfied with being a distraction in kaiju fight, and was hoaxed into—

Zephyr: HOLY CRAP, SHINY HAD AN EMO PHASE??

Shiny: WH— IT WAS NOT AN EMO PHASE!

Zephyr: MY BROTHER IN ROSE TYPES, WHAT IS THIS THEN?

Shiny: I HAD A BAD WEEK AND AGREED TO SOMETHING DUMB, OKAY!?

Thunder: … Despite my unpleasant memories of that incident, he did look and behaved like he was in an emo phase.
