For the last week I've been living on a sailing boat, a 45ft Bavaria, learning how to sail together with five other crewmembers. Waking up early, making a navigation plan around the Saronic Islands and prepping the boat for the journey. So I saw a post the other day with a caption that caught my attention and I thought I’d do something similar. So here goes:  Hey. My name is Maria Fagerström, middle name is Lisbeth, same as my grandmother. My least favourite nickname was ”Fagge” 😂 (which was given by my friend Viktor 9 years ago, who is now my lovely boyfriend). I’m 26 years old, born 1992 April 14th. I have one younger sister and two older sisters. They are my best friends. I am 165 cm tall. I struggle with stress and not being good enough. Yoga and meditation has helped me with that a bit. I eat some fish but mostly vegetarian food. I really love spontaneous travel and being adventurous. I enjoy listen to audio books teaching about self growth and I’m trying my best to be present at all times. I’m excited for the future. I want to learn another language fluently and am currently taking Spanish lessons. When I’m in a really good mood I turn up the music as loud as I can and dance like nobody is watching. Barrio de Santa Cruz is a neighborhood known for it’s small white washed houses with colorful wall art and decoration with flags and flowers on narrow streets situated on the hill that leads up to the castle of Santa Barbara (and definitely the most Instagram-photo-friendly area you’ll find in Alicante) 😉 (at Casco Antiguo-Santa Cruz)

Back in Alicante and back at my favorite thai restaurant! Spicy tuna sushirolls, a creamy red thai curry with prawns or Mexican street food (with lots and lots of coriander) are on my top three. Took the scooter with @pilotmaria to this beach to enjoy the whole day in the sun. However. When we got there we had about five minutes before the whole sky got completely covered by grey clouds 💭 Does this ever happen to you too or is it just me? 🤷🏼‍♀️😩 (at San Juan De Alicante, Valenciana, Spain)

Did you know that the Captain and the First Officer take turns acting as pilot flying on every other sector? I was flying to the UK yesterday as pilot monitoring and then as pilot flying on the way back to Alicante. Some of the duties as pilot monitoring include doing the paperwork during cruise, checking the fuel burn every 30 minutes, and talking to the air traffic controllers on the radio.
