I’ve always loved Piper, but to begin with, I found Jason’s need to be in charge quite irritating. But I think he has developed a lot since HOH and his character shows more than just being in charge.

I find it interesting that you think he has a need to be in charge when I feel like it’s the opposite - people have expected Jason to be in charge ever since he was young, simply for being a son of Jupiter. Jason wants to live up to expectations, but the burden of leadership isn’t something that I feel like he really wants. He seems a lot happier and at ease with himself in HoH because he’s finally among people who treat him like an equal, not as their leader (Annabeth is the de facto leader of the Argo II and he has no problem deferring to her). He’s used to being in charge, sure, but he’s far, far from having control issues.

To anon who told me that my perception of height difference is wrong… tumblr ate your ask so I couldn’t reply directly, sorry. I did measure it, and 6 inches from the top of my head does indeed leave me around the bottom of my earlobe. Now, obviously everyone’s head sizes are different, but I don’t think I’m off by too much?
