A very personal spread inspired by this post by @journalsanctuary. I normally don’t post much about my life outside of university, but I’d like to get real with you guys about a less-than-perfect part of my life. 

I have PTSD as a result of a nasty concussion last year that took away my ability to read or think clearly for several weeks, as well as my ability to speak French (which was particularly inconvenient, as I was living in France at the time). I failed four of my classes because I was unable to complete any schoolwork, and there’s about a two-month period of my life that I can’t really remember.

Bullet journaling has been my saving grace. Keeping a daily record of my activities and thoughts really helps to allay my fears about memory loss and lets me work through my feelings in a safe and productive way!

how fun! i visited taiwan in november with a pal (๑･̑◡･̑๑) and am currently in japan visiting relatives. i’ve been so caught up in the travelling that i haven’t had time to think about the year…and oh how fast it has passed! can’t believe it’s december already aaa and 2018 is just a wink away :’)

Studying in a new language is… well, harder than I thought, but it’s going good so far! I’m typing most of my notes on the computer and also doing some handwritten summaries, I hope I’ll have time to finish all of them before the exams begin.

Just to stay true to reality, I have to say I do not ever study lying down on blankets, because I find it uncomfortable for writing and typing and I get easily distracted; I just took the stuff I’d been using on my desk and layed it around on the blanket in different ways to take the pictures because the white background made it look much nicer.
