labrujamorgan Your rage at the systematic exclusion of trans womyn is duly justified. However, in this case, it has been misplaced. We DID include trans womyn alongside trans men, cis men, cis womyn and genderqueer identified folx on our runway (wish you had been there to see it!). Some of our models were femme, some masculine-of-center, some identified somewhere within and outside of that spectrum. Our commitment to trans inclusion is real and tangible. Presenting masculine looks does not preclude trans womyn from modeling our clothing and we actively recruited trans womyn to model our show. The sex/identity/gender expression of our models was not obvious to those present at the show, let alone to those THAT WERE NOT EVEN THERE.

But our commitment to trans, Queer and POC inclusion went beyond just the models. We had AMAZINGLY TALENTED DJ Precolumbian - radioestrogeno - produce our runway music, and exclusively worked with QPOC folx from the installation art to the show production. We did not have to look outside of our community for talent and there was no cis white face to legitimize the value of the show.
