fun facts time!!!!!!

obsessed with Needle, so I figured I'd share some fun facts about her!!!

-Needle is a tiefling, but both of her bio parents are elves. her mom is a high elf, and her dad is a wood elf. her mom made a pact with Baalzebul while pregnant, and Needle was born a tiefling!

-Needle's mom told everyone that she had a stillbirth, interring a two-headed lamb in the earth behind her home beneath a headstone bearing Needle's intended birth name.

-Needle has three magical tattoos. one is a purple worm on her right arm, given to her by a Varrushi Wisewoman after she slayed a purple worm that had gone mad, an eldritch claw tattoo made from the blood of the worm. then there's the tattoo on her collarbones, wildflowers with a crescent moon in the center, which is a barrier tattoo she got herself as a reward for surviving for 25 years. the third is on her abdomen, just below her ribcage, it's made up of infernal runes and reminiscent of cybersigilism, she has no idea where she got this one she literally just woke up one day and it was there, but it's an absorption tattoo that gives her resistance to necrotic damage. in addition to these, she has a small stick and poke jackalope on her left ankle, with no magical benefits whatsoever.

-Needle is a lycan blood hunter/spirits bard multiclass. rather than imbuing her with animal lycanthropy, the Scarlet Howler's alchemist worked to enhance characteristics of her infernal heritage, turning her into a were-devil with the ability to see ghosts. she has the infernal constitution and devilish barbs feats because of this tampering.

-Needle is unaware of this because of her self-image issues, but there are actually a few children in the next generation who idolize her. their names are Sathariel Everheart, Aurelie Candelon, Cirrus, and Gyuri. they are all ride or die Marineedle himejoshis.

-Needle has a kin list and it paints SUCH a picture of her as an individual.

-in canon, Needle has a poison resistance that results in her being very resilient against getting drunk. in modern/human aus however, she is a complete lightweight

-in modern/human aus, Needle's name is Anita Howell

-kissing under the mistletoe is a tradition in their world, but Needle is convinced that Marina is lying to her about it to engineer a situation where they kiss

-she is deathly afraid of thunderstorms. this is because when she was young, she was taken into the mountains and left alone to find her way back to the howler compound as training. it started to rain not long after she started on her journey home, and the storm didn't let up until after she'd made it back.
