Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in 1927, the Cantilever Chair challenged conventional furniture design. Its graceful tubular steel frame eliminated the rear legs, creating the illusion of a floating seat while expressing the clarity and precision that became synonymous with modern architecture.

Garner and Hepburn became fast-friends on the set and endeavored to keep things light while making what was an otherwise very heavy movie with (then daring) strong lgbtq+ subject matter.
