OMGGGG Feels goood to be done! Th eamount of stress lifted off my shoulders from finally finishing this project has made me so happy. Tbh it wasn’t as bad a people said it was and I can’t believe I’m officially done with AP Lit :(
Almost there.....
Wooooohhhh can’t believe we only have 7 days dill our research project is due!!!!1 Lowkey freaking out but it’s okay I think I’m on the right track. I basically have my intro and annotations left to do. Everything else is completely done! Wish me luck peeps :)
Feels good to be done
This post is longgggg over due, trust me I had the book done a while back! I was very proud of myself for being able to finish it at the time I wanted to do. Keeping up with my goals motivated me to do everything else on track. But so for thats not going so well lol. I can’t believe I only have a few more weeks till its due!

I am freaking out a little because i have’t stayed on track with my goals and have 2 more abstracts to finish! i realized w only have a couple of weeks till this project is due and i need to get on the ball. I shall keep all of you in my prayers as we go through this bumpy, crazy, and horrible ride

Day 3 of OGI gone....
I didn’t blog the other 2 days because we had work days but today we were back on track with work. Individually we discussed our amazing DJs, and the discussed them as a whole in a group harkness. We then discussed our #aplit16tribe which some of us were confused on but with the help of the other classmates everyone has a better idea of what to do. We miss you lots and lots and hope everything is going well!

My tribe is a group of my very close friendsssss...aka FAMBAM. We all come from similar but different backgrounds that cause us to be a unique groups of friends. We got 3 one and only Packay Hyderabadis (Me, Asim, & Ahmad), 2 Indopaks (Maariya & Iman) and, 2 rare Gujjus (Azeem & Vaseem), and one hydro wanna be but really is Paki (Maliha).
It all started when we hung out once at Dessert Oasis and Ahmad made a group chat that stuck until now. We've been there for each other during hard and rough times. When Rishtikah was in love with me and I had no clue what do. Did I mention he was shorter than me? He so wanted to Dishtik but fambam was like hell no. Instead Iman explained how we should all Build A Snowman to get our mind of Rishtikah, but we all know she just wanted to build one with K Daddy. Anyways, whenever any of us are bored we all know we have each other to make us laugh. When we get together it's crazy and people think were probably so weird. Just trying to make a plan never works because Azeem and Vaseem either are dancing their live away. Asim is too busy buying cookies, Ahmad to busy GNing in Dearborn, Maliha is sleeping, and who knows about the Siddiqui Sisters because they never come anyways. Hanging just always ends up being a GTD. I love my tribe, there the one group I know that will never judge me no matter what. Not only are we friends as a group but I feel a connection with each individual person. I feel that everyone person in fambam has their own place within our friendship. We all have qualities that seem to be expressed the best when with each other. I feel most responsible for being the jokster and making sure there's no drama with anyone. Surprisingly with having so many different personalities, you’d expect people clashing and having drama but we never have issues. I hope the friendship we cherish with each other lasts a longggggggg time-even older than Hyder Uncle. Did I mention he looks like Biff from BTTF? I want it to grow into a no drama long lasting friendship; instead of being deep as weeds type of friendship.
Now who seems confused as hell? DING DING DING I’m guessing you all do lol. All the bolded words are inside jokes within our group that I’m sorry to say that i can’t share lol. To me and my friends this post is hilarious but to you it's probably just a group of kids who are weird as hell. I’m glad to be the one to introduce you all into my one and only FAMBAM group :)

Day 2 of OGI Gone.....
Today we had a great harkness about Our Querencia’s. We went around in a circle and discussed our querencies and why they were important to us. We then talked about Tayo and what we thought his querencia was and our ideas about it. You missed out on a great harkness @kreinbring65 :(

Today was the first day you weren’t with us :( Even though we were really sad, we still decided to do our work like good students. We quietly worked on our chalk talk and had very insightful commentary as well as questions about it. We all pray for your wife to have a smooth going surgery. We love you @kreinbring65 <3

My Querencia
My Querencia is my home. As basic as that may sound is really is. I was born into this home and it’s the only place I can truly call my home. I walked my first steps, talked my first words, played, etc. all in this one house. You never realize how many memories you can create in such a house. No matter how much painting, remodeling we’ve done it’s still filled with all the memories I’ve gone through in it.
All Done!
Today I finished ceremony and can i just say that I actually enjoyed the ending! The book seem pretty slow and boring at first but as soon as the actual ceremony started and the chase of Tayo were the 2 most interesting parts for me. It was basically the climax of the book. I enjoyed the ending and realizing how Tayo feels about the ceremony and even though I hate poems, it was cool to see how they somewhat connected even though I fully didnt understand them.
Tayo is at peace?
“This was the highest point on earth: he could feel it. It had nothing to do with measurements or height. It was a special place”(139).
Now don’t tell me this quote doesn’t give the chills or the “woo” factor lol. This quote sticks out to me because for the the first time we see Tayo being able to make a connection with a place. Yea he’s made connection with family members, but he has finally given a chance to feel good about himself. Tayo realizes that he is in the highest spot in the world, measured not in miles but in importance. We see this connect to the ceremony performed right after. As if it was a trigger, knowing that it was coming and that it would help him.
Omggggg I see a connection
I thought it would be a horrible idea to read The Scarlet Letter and Ceremony at the same time because i’d mix facts together but as i started i released that both books are different but also similar at the same time!!!!! Hester is a lady who is looked down upon for committing adultery, just like how Tayo’s mother is also looked down upon for having a child with a white man. We also see some connect of native americans in the story as well, when Hester’s husband lied about being held captive with native americans and how he learned all these different remedies to help cure people. Just like how Native Americans create different ceremonies to help people took. Low-key its pretty cool that they somewhat connect to each other :)
Right on Track
I am happy to say that I’m right on track with reading The Scarlet Letter. If I continue to read the way I am- then I’ll hopefully finish by this Sunday. PRAYING for a snow day on Thursday so then i can read even more :) I’m proud of myself for sticking to my schedule for reading the book and I feel that with this same schedule I’ll be organized for the rest of my research project as well!
Poetry Ugh
The poetry in this book isn’t random but it doesn’t make sense to me lol. They are poems but the have to do with the story and sometimes seem to come off as prayers. The narrator and speaker in these poems shifts between a first person and third person which makes it even more confusing to understand but they do reflect the story as a whole. There is not one narrator or one speaker who sings them. What makes it confusing is that I know it supposed to connect to what I’m reading in the story but I don’t seem to understand how it does.
I have a life other than my research project lol
From reading so much of ceremony already I knew there was no way I would be able to read any of the scarlet letter as well. So I was like hmmmm whats something fun I can do that has to do with my book? And then, it popped into my head, I can watch the movie Easy A that sorta has to do with it lol. The story itself into so much but they do talk about the book in the movie and the girl does decided to put the letter A on her outfits just like in the story. Sooooo my fellow instructor shouldn't be mad because I did do something to do with my book!
Ceremonyyyy
I was a little iffy about this book at first, due to the fact it was called “ceremony” and the last book we read we allll know what a ceremony was lol. This book is also made up of poems!!!!! (I very much dislike poems) I knew I had to read the book when I was supposed to this time cuz don’t wanna make kreinbring mad lolz. Anywayssss back to the book, our fellow instructor was correct when he said the book was hard to read. It is a little confusing ans I did have to reread sentences to understand what was actually going on. The book isn’t divided into chapters or anything like that which makes it a bit confusing but it relates to the theme of connecting ideas, repetition. and the story itself (myths, memory, and reality). I hope it gets better the more I read because I sorta don’t like it so far…
