when he was young he could always sense that there was something off about his parents’ relationship since it wasn’t quite like the one he witnessed with his grandparents. not once did he ever hear the words ‘i love you’ being shared between his mom and dad, in fact, the only time he heard the phrase came from his mom.
his mother died when he was eight and it changed his life. instead of his father taking a more predominate role in life and being an actual parent, he was left in the care of his paternal grandparents. he went to school in the local area but around the same time he started to act out by using magic as a cry for attention. at times it was the only way to get his father to notice him whenever he was around. in order to “properly” discipline him his father decided to pull him from his regular school and enrolled him at salvatore school for the young and gifted.
he grew up having a very strained relationship, if you can even call it that with his father. whenever he was out on break he was always back in the care of his grandparents in newcastle. there came a time that his grandparents acquired a summer home in the states so that adrian could spend his summers with them when school wasn’t in session.
came out to his grandparents when he was sixteen and was immediately accepted, though he didn’t want to tell his father—not because he thought he wouldn’t accept him, but because he knew he wouldn’t care either way.
was in a long time relationship with robert sinclair, a fellow student at the salvatore school. after turning eighteen the two of them went traveling around the world to experience what life was like. while they were vacationing real life caught up to them and robert tragically lost his life, something that adrian blames himself for. after his death he returned back to san francisco and lived there since.
wants to have a somewhat normal life even with magic in the midst, so he’s trying to get his degree to become a nurse.

salvatore boarding school. adrian attended the school and he would know the students that attended the school, but really i’m looking for friends, frenemies, rivals, former crushes, enemies, past flings, etc.
familial. the marks family is huge, with him having three uncles. really what i’m looking for would be cousins to my muse. ( 0 / ??? )
roommate(s). even though he comes from a well off family adrian is more or less used to living with someone, so maybe having a roommate with someone preferably around his age would be great. ( 0 / 2 )
