Some more pictures of Spitfire Vintage Tortoise shell pickguards.
In the early days this gorgeous material rose up from the ground and was crafted into works of art and used for jewelry, guitars, and many other things. Well where did this art form go? It died and the reason why is because after about 30 years celluloid cracks, shrinks, fades, and just becomes almost not usable. Well this beautiful art died away with the plastic. So I have created my own tortoise shell that perfectly replicates the vintage 60's original tortoise shell. Mine will not shrink, fade, crack, or deteriorate over the years. Its quite the lengthy process, but a hobby turned into career which I love. So these pictures up above are all of my tortoise shell pickguards. My new company is called Spitfire Vintage Tortoise shell. Here is a link where I am based out of http://www.offsetguitars.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=10616&start=1935. If you are interested get in touch with me right away and soon you will have in your hands a perfect matching Vintage Spitfire tortoise shell pickguard.
