I feel like so many of us operate from a place of just dislike for our selves. Sure, we have those moments where we fully love and accept ourselves and our feelings but on a daily basis, what are you telling yourself? For every unkind or judgemental thing you tell yourself, do you also say kind and loving things to that same self? We're doing about the best we can, so just back up off yourself. Here's my rude inner dialogue: "I do not play music enough. I don't ever do yoga. I don't meditate. I don't eat enough. I don't make enough jewelry. I don't work outside enough. I don't clean my house enough. I don't reach out to friends enough." Wow! That's a whole lot of negative self talk going on. My HUGEST reminder is to be gentle with myself. Life is a long, strange journey and the least I can do is be easy on myself while I'm here...
