“First off this is a journal, my brother gave it to me before he ran off to Australia to be with the kangaroos which did you know that a group of kangaroos is called a mob? Anyway This is a journal a diary is a pathetic pad of pages that document how pathetic our lives are.”  Mars stopped herself before saying “I’m sorry that was rude, yes a journal is a good way to keep yourself sane”

“I am a bit confused. What is the difference between a diary and a journal?” marlene asked, as she really did want to start something, which will finally take her mind off. She couldn't trust anyone. Nor could she keep all her anger and pain inside of herself.

“No, but I think that’s my jacket on your chair there”

“I’m sorry. I didnt notice that it was here.” Marlene stood up, to look at the jacket which was hanging of the back of her chair. She was having a rough day, and apparently didnt even notice the things which where right in front of her own eyes. “I’ll move quickly.” She said, as she started grabbing her papers together.

June also grabbed a purse as Marlene did but had to grab some things for the contents; her phone, her credit card and some lipstick and mascara in case of the need for reapplying, “Sounds good to me. Do you wanna call it or should I?”

“I can” Marlene put a smile on her face, as she dialled the cab drivers number “Yes, hello. Yes, I would like to call a cab to street.” Marlene hesitated for a sec, looking for a little help from June, and as she whispered the street name and number to Marlene, she dictated it to the cab company. “Yes, as soon as possible. Under the name Marlene. Yes. Marlene Waters. Thank you. Goodbye” She said, as she put the phone down. “They’ll be here in 10″ she smiled.

“I am Anthony Bennett.” He introduced himself to the brunette. “Juney, is out at the moment, she had some kind of fashion emergency. But she should be back soon. Would you like to wait inside, mysterious stranger?” He looked at the brunette.

“Shiiiit” Marlene whispered it quietly to herself. She could feel her cheeks turning as red as a tomato, as she realised she was talking back to Juney’s brother. “I’m sorry. I didnt know June was living with you. I’ve never seen you here before” She murmured quietly, as she bit on her lips slightly.

“It’s okay, I was just needing it”

“I dont want to be rude or anything. But I am just curious. Is writing a diary really helps?” Marlene asked, a bit shyly. “I always wanted to start one, but never got the courage, and the motivation till now”

“People say I’m adorable. Dont you think so too?” Anthony smiles

“Well aren’t you one with a huge ego” Marlene looks at the stranger who opened the door for her at June’s place. She has never seen him before.

“Maybe I am.” Anthony smiled at the brunette. “Can I help you by the way? Or do you just randomly knock on strangers houses.”

“I am looking for June. I didnt know she lives with anyone.” Marlene looked up, into the eyes of the blonde tall stranger. “Who are you?” she popped up the question.

“Yep definitely those ones.” Marlene smiled back at June. She was starting to wonder whether the girl was living alone in this huge house, but Marlene decided to not ask, not wanting to be intruding into Junes privacy. She wasn’t sure if it was appropriate yet, in such an early state of their newly found friendship. “So, should we start going?” Marlene suggested, though she did realise that this whole getting ready got her a bit tired.

June slipped on the shoes and examined how they looked with the dress in the mirror. Perfect. She turned to Marlene with a bright smile, “Let’s get going!”

“Alright then” Marlene smiled at June, as she picked up her envelop shaped bag, with only her iPhone, cards, and some cash in it. “I think its best if we take a cab. Dont you think?”

“People say I’m adorable. Dont you think so too?” Anthony smiles

“Well aren't you one with a huge ego” Marlene looks at the stranger who opened the door for her at June’s place. She has never seen him before.

“Oh wow.” Nick looked at her. She gave of quite an attitude, but as Nick stole her coffee, he walked up to the counter and ordered her, the coffee she desired, as he looked back at the brunette, whom by now sat down at his table.

Marlene looked at the brunette guys pumped up body, as he stood beside the counter. His back muscles could be seen over the thin shirt he was wearing. Marlene didnt even realise that he looked back at her at first.  “Oh shit, did he see that I was staring?” She thought to herself when their eyes met.

“Are you talking to me?” Marlene looked up.

“Yes, you are sitting on my journal, I’d like it back”  she said before adding a please in there quickly

“Oh my gosh, I am so sorry, I didnt even realise” Marlene stood up, and handed over the little book she was sitting on.

“Well, I’m not so sure” Marlene put a fake thinking face on. “Just kiddiiiiiing” She giggled. “Its perfect.” She smiled at the blonde. Marlene was happy to be able to hang out with someone finally. Hanging out with June, was a perfect distraction, and she also started to realise how much she started liking her.

“So these ones then?” June asked, referring to the shoes that she was holding. She hated when she had two amazing choices for shoes and no one to help her choose. Anthony was never any help, not that he was ever in the house anyway. She was glad to have Marlene here.

“Yep definitely those ones.” Marlene smiled back at June. “Its not a pity coffee. I sincerely feel bad about steeling your coffee. I know how important coffee can be. I cannot live without it” Nick smiled at the brunette girl. “I am no stranger by the way. I have a name. Im Nicholas Jacobson. But you can call me Nick” He flipped a sneaky smile

“Fine.” Marlene looked at Nick. “Buy me a latte Machiatto then. But only cause I'm in a good mood”

“Thanks, Marlene!” June replied with a grin which quickly turned into a sly smirk as she turned to her shoes. She quickly grabbed a pair and turned back to face the other girl, “I’m thinking these ones or the black jimmy choos.”

“Well, I’m not so sure” Marlene put a fake thinking face on. “Just kiddiiiiiing” She giggled. “Its perfect.” She smiled at the blonde. Marlene was happy to be able to hang out with someone finally. Hanging out with June, was a perfect distraction, and she also started to realise how much she started liking her.

“It’s definitely an uncomfortable type of weather. Hopefully it’ll go away soon,” Alaska piped, trying to keep in good spirit. “Oh yeah, I know a place just down the street. It’s a little over-advertised and also a little pricey– but still not too bad. You’ve probably never heard of it– but it’s called Starbucks.”

“Starbucks? On this corner?” Marlene looked at Alaska. “I have never seen it here before. Though, I am quite distracted nowadays.” She giggled in her nervousness.

June looked more at the front of her closet while Marlene walked in. She drifted off to her own thoughts and before she knew it, the other girl was back. She jumped about a foot in the air and shrieked, “Gosh, Marlene you scared me!” June then looked down at the dress she was holding, “Oh, I love that! And I haven’t gotten a good wear out of it yet. Let me try it on!”

“Oh my god, it looks perfect on you” Marlene looked at June, as she put on the dress. It fit her perfectly, as if it was made for her, for her measurements. It was perfect. “You look beautiful in it.” She smiled at the blonde. “But now comes the hard question, what shoes will you where?” She giggled. “Though, for you that decision should be easy. You’re like the shoe whisperer”

“Wait.” Nick said, as he stood up to follow the girl. “Let me at least invite you for your coffee. I feel so ashamed, that I was so distracted, that I didnt even realize it wasn’t my coffee.” He smiled at her. “Please, let me.”

“Oh god.” Marlene looked at the stranger who stole her coffee. “I dont need your pity coffee. I have my own money, I can buy myself my coffee. But thank you, Stranger.” She fringed at him.
