Luke was walking through the halls of the Imperial Palace. Seeing what Palpatine had done to the Temple, feeling the dark side almost everywhere here, and almost hearing the whispers of the fallen Jedi, it’s almost too much for Luke. But he’s here on a mission. Gather the Jedi relics that Sidious had hoarded and bring them to his new temple.
@ask-luke-skywalker-rp
Mara frowned as she sank into her old master’s chair. She had a feeling she knew why the force had pulled her here. Vengeance. It was finally time.
She spun around to look at the wall. It was easier than imagining his weathered face staring forward sitting in the same place she now did.
She understood why he kept all these relics around. It was comforting. The dark could be comforting. It came at her from all sides. Fueling her. Sustaining her.
Footsteps were coming. She could sense the light’s presence.
“Almost time Skywalker.” She hisses under her breath.
She should have killed Vader when she sensed his weakness. She should have been her master’s apprentice. She never would have betrayed him.
“Curiosity.” Luke answered honestly. “And I wanted to find some Jedi relics, hopefully a holocron or two. I may be a Jedi Master, but I still have a lot to learn about the old Jedi Order.”
“We hide in here.” Han said pulling up the false floors of his hidden cargo holds. “The imps fall for this trick every time. It’s how we got on the Death Star when we rescued you.”
“I suppose there is much to learn in their defeat.” She allows. “Know thy enemy.”
She looks at him for a moment.
“You seem to have only inherited the weakest parts of your father… I knew him. He helped train me occasionally. He told me your mother grew up on Naboo. Like my father.”
Like me.
“I may know more about her than I did Vader. He was very closed off. More than most Sith.”
-
“If you wanted to be in a room alone with me fly boy all you have to do is ask. Surely you know that by now…” Leia sasses.
“True. I learned that a suspicious clone army was a big blind spot.” Luke admitted. “But I’m talking about their past. Like three hundred years ago when famine gripped Alderaan and the Jedi sent food and healers there before the republic senate decided on anything. Or when a ship called the Legacy Run exploded in hyperspace and its fragments were causing destruction, the Jedi were at the first of these emergences and stopped it from destroying an entire Star system.” He pointed out calmly, as if talking to a student. “The Jedi were more than just warriors, they were teachers, healers, diplomats, and councilors.”
Han froze. “Uh…” he said imagining him and Leia in…situations. Chewie chuckled as he climbed into a hidden hold carrying Artoo and lowered the floor of the main corridor over him, leaving one just for Han and Leia.
“Maybe you take more after your mother. After all she was too weak to even handle childbirth. Or maybe you killed her. An accident of course. Tell me Skywalker have you ever sucked the life out of someone before? It’s very easy to do. Especially when you think you’re in danger. And after all what’s more frightening for a baby than the exit from the womb?” Mara asks.
If he were to look back at her he would see her eyes faintly glowing in the dark.
“Do you even know her name? The name of the woman you killed?”
-
Leia hops down slowing her fall with the force and giving Han an impish grin.
Luke stopped moving. He glanced back at her, his eyes cold. He wanted to give in to his anger and hit her. Hard. He took a breath and calmed down. “Her name was Padmè Amidala. Elected Queen of Naboo at fourteen, their youngest but most successful and beloved ruler. Became Senator at twenty-three, was an advocate for peace when everyone else cried for war. But despite that, she was a skilled fighter and a quick thinker. Best friends with Duchess Satine Kryze of Mandalore, a mother like figure to Anakin’s Skywalker’s apprentice Ahsoka Tano, and respected by even her enemies.” He said, his voice filled with emotion.
“And it wasn’t me who killed her. It was both my father and the Emperor.” He added opening another grating, dropping into the room, and throwing the guard into the wall, knocking him out. He then ran over to his lightsaber and put it on his belt, and grabbed a simple leather necklace adorned with a crimson kyber crystal and put it on.
“Show off.” Han muttered as he closed the compartment. There is a faint light so they can see each other. “Careful, it’s a bit cramped in here.” He said as he put his arm around her waist.
Mara graces him with a devil’s smile. Eyes glowing stronger now. She’s feeding off his rage.
“They Padme’s wardrobe. I’ll be sure they make their way to your sister once you are dead.”
“No it was fully Sidious. But it’s nice to know you have any passion at all Jedi. Maybe there is hope for you yet…”
She vanishes into the shadows. The saber flying off its resting place.
“It wouldn’t be very sporting to kill you now. We shall have to set another time for it.” Her eyes glow from the shadows where she stands. And she uses the force to open the door.
She pauses. “Your sister is here…” she laughs. “Now she… she feels like Vader. I’d like to meet her. You have my word I won’t kill either of you today. I have people to get home to as well. And much work to do. Thanks to you and your little friends.”
Her eyes look less evil and more tired now.
Family. She had them. Though not her parents anymore. Her mothers. Her many mothers. Women used to luxury not hardship. She allows him to sense them. Not to see their faces. He can faintly hear the children.
“Good luck, she took to lightsaber combat better than I did.” Luke muttered, he then sensed Leia and the Falcon coming into the hanger bay.
He also sensed the images she was projecting. The New Republic’s Intelligence network was doing its best to find those poor women and get them to safety, he felt increasing sympathy for the women and children.
“Come on, let’s go meet up with Leia.” He said walking past her in the corridor. “Oh, just one thing. Try to hurt any of my friends in any way, and I’ll make an angry wookie look as peaceful as a womp rat in the middle of the day.” He threatened calmly.
“It’s cute that you think you can threaten me. You’re about as threatening as a wet womp rat.” She chuckles.
“But I gave you my word. I will kill you later.” Mats steps out into the light of the hallway.
She’s speeding past him. To a guard he hasn’t noticed. There’s a horrific crunch as she snaps his neck. She looks down at the corpse for a minute clenching her fists.
She rolls her neck and then takes the lead. Her hips swaying in a hypnotic way. She draws her saber and uses the force to open another set of doors. She takes a stance that he recognizes from Vader.
There’s a wave of the feeling Leia had at the hands of Jabba. And then Mara is moving like lightening. Slicing. Dicing. Limbs falling to the floor. She’s far ahead of him in the new hallway.
-
Leia is quiet as she watches the boots above the grate. She puts her hand on Han’s chest for comfort. Doing her best not to think of the last time she saw storm troopers.
Luke winces as he follows her trail of destruction. Whenever he finds troopers or officers who are too injured to move, he kneels down and uses the force to alleviate their pain. Putting them to sleep until they either died, or got medical attention.
Han keeps his eyes upward on the troopers. Although his hand does wander downward to Leia’s behind. He gives her a smirk and a flirtatious wink as the troopers complete their search, waiting a minute before pushing the covering of the compartment.
Mara huffs turning back to him. He’s so slow.
She uses the force to pull him towards her.
“You’re wasting time. Let’s not get your sister imprisoned too. She’s suffered enough under Vader.” Mara says seriously. She glances over at a fancy looking statue on a pillar and swipes it. Sticking it in her satchel.
“Docks are this way. I’ve been on a similar ship before.” She says taking point again.
-
Leia rolls her eyes. Not the time Han… and then climbs out after him.
“They’re getting closer I can feel it.” She informs him.
“I can’t do nothing for them!” Luke snapped. “I’m a Jedi master, I have an obligation to help even my enemies. You don’t want me to slow down? Then make it a clean kill then.”
“Well said Master Skywalker.” A calm calculating voice said over the ship’s intercom. “Lady Jade, Senator Organa-Solo, and General Solo, a pleasure to welcome you all to my ship. If you are unaware, I am Grand Admiral Thrawn.”
“What do you want Thrawn?” Luke asked looking at the ceiling. There’s a determined look on his face.
“Why, simply for you and your friends to see a surprise I have in store on the bridge. I suspect Lady Jade would want to see it, for it is the key to rebuilding the Empire.” Thrawn said cryptically. “I give all of you my word that you shall make it to the bridge unmolested. All troopers and officers are ordered to continue on as if there isn’t a Jedi in our ship.”
“Right. Yeah.” Han said unbelievingly as he was able to hear Thrawn’s announcement on the speakers, even from inside the Falcon. “This smells like a trap.”
Jade looks over at Luke. She takes his hand for a moment.
*Let’s get off this ship and blow the station.* she uses the force to speak into his mind.
*I have to kill you I don’t have to rebuild what you and your friends demolished. I won’t want to*
-
Leia frowns. “No kidding…”
Luke thinks about it for a moment. Then shakes his head. “Whatever Thrawn has it’s likely too dangerous to just blow up.” He said out loud. “I’m going to the bridge. To arrest Thrawn and stop his weapon. Blow me up with the ship if you want, but I’m going.” With that he marched down the corridor to the elevators.
“Sorry Leia, but I have to see what Thrawn has in store.” He muttered, knowing that Leia will get the message thanks to their link in the Force.
“What do you want to do Princess?” Han asked getting nervous. “I’m with you no matter what.”
Mara laughs at him. “We’re on his ship. You don’t have the element of surprise. You’re walking into a trap…You’re going to get yourself killed… stupid boy. I’ll come with you. I would very much like to present Thrawn’s head to someone.”
It would make a lovely gift for one of the mothers.
-
Luke just made a foolish choice. “Looks like this time we rescue him…” she sighs tiredly.
Luke was walking through the halls of the Imperial Palace.

Leia is quiet as she watches the boots above the grate. She puts her hand on Han’s chest for comfort. Doing her best not to think of the last time she saw storm troopers.

“Almost time Skywalker.” She hisses under her breath.
She should have killed Vader when she sensed his weakness. She should have been her master’s apprentice. She never would have betrayed him.
“I don’t care what you want. Your mercy is unwanted and will not save you. And your pity only enflames my hate Vader. You aren’t better than I am. Chosen one or not.” She seethes.
Because I was never chosen. What I wouldn’t give to be wanted as more than a weapon.
But her fire is fading despite what she said. She’s tired. She’s only human.
She blinks and a tear rolls down her face.
“You’ll regret sparing me. That’s a promise.”
The sound of a ship landing outside pulls her from her focus.
“You called for backup?” She asks Luke. “I’m flattered. But I can’t stick around.”
“No I didn’t. Artoo?” Luke asked his droid.
Artoo beeps in the negative. “Then we have a problem. Artoo, get back to the ship and ready it for takeoff. If something happens to me get Han and Leia.” Luke instructed. As Artoo quickly wheeled out Luke called his lightsaber back to his hand. “Listen, Palpatine’s got some kind of hold on you. I’m sorry that he had to die but he was the closest thing to pure evil I’ve ever met. But if that’s not a friendly then we’re gonna have to work together for now. Deal?”
“No.” Mara replies. Moving swiftly to kick his leg and ruin his stance. Using all her might to move her saber again.
The sound of footsteps is the last thing she hears. There’s a sharp pain in her neck and she sees something flying towards Luke.
And then nothing.
Hours later she wakes up on the cold hard floor of a cell.
She groans and opens her eyes. Only to find she’s chained to Skywalker himself.
“Good morning.” Luke said glumly. “Before you ask, no I did plan this.”
He then sighed and leaned back against the wall, he’s sitting as far from her as possible. “Oh, we’ve been captured by Imperial Remnants by the way. And they took our lightsabers.”
“Great…” she goes to use the force to help her sit up. But can’t. Instead sitting up on her own.
“What? Where is it?” She sounds genuinely panicked. “It’s gone!” She turns to Luke eyes wide and clear. Palpatine has no hold on her.
Her eyes are so lovely when they aren’t filled with hatred.
“Where is what?” Luke noting her eyes. “They searched us when we got captured. Whatever you’re looking for is probably with our lightsabers.”
He sighed again. “We might be here a while. Might as well get comfortable…I don’t think you’ve told me your name now that I think about it.”
“I somehow doubt they confiscated the force Skywalker.” Mara retorts.
She sighs. Moving closer to him so the chains weren’t tugging.
“My name is Mara Jade.” She replies. “And if you wouldn’t be dead weight while I’m trying to escaped you’d be gone already.”
She goes quiet a moment.
“You might of heard of my other title. The emperors hand.”
“Ohhhhh, that’s you…” Luke said in realization. “I thought you were either a myth, a really good ISB agent, or an Inquisitor.” He admitted.
“Mara Jade, that’s a pretty name.” He complemented. “And it is possible to confiscate the Force if you’re using a relic to access it. Did the Emperor ever give you anything? An old relic or a piece of jewelry?”
“Thanks…No. I was born force sensitive.” Mara replies.
“Can you use the force right now?” She asks.
Luke tries to use the force to pull her closer, just to see if he could no other reason, but couldn’t. “Karabast.” He cursed. He then looked up and saw a lizard like creature looking down at them. “I’ve read about those.” He said pointing up. “Back in the Old Republic, when the Sith Empire was still around, if there was negotiations of any sort between the two, representatives from both sides would bring those creatures to create a force-neutral bubble. They’re called Ysalamiri.” He explained.
She nods. “I know. My master told me about them. I think they’ve been underutilized lately. Good to see them being used again. Though the circumstances are less than ideal…”
“Leave it to me… most guards are men. I’m sure I can at least get myself released and I’ll come back for you. I made a promise and I must fulfill it. It’s nothing personal. And I won’t hurt your sister. I just have. One more job to do.” She sighs tiredly.
“Force I’m so tired.”
“Being under the control of what most call a mind trick would leave you tired.” Luke said offhandedly.
The door then opened and two stormtroopers came in, each carrying a tray of food into the cell.
Mara rolls her eyes. Then shifts as the troopers walk in.
“Good morning boys. Why don’t you stay in here a bit and we can have some fun?” She purrs. “Or better yet help me ditch the Jedi and I’ll show you both a good time.” She looks up through her lashes.
Luke couldn’t help the jealous look he gave her when she started to seduce her way out.
“Shut up prisoner.” The trooper closest to Mara snapped, its voice a woman’s voice. The trooper then kicked Mara’s leg, set the tray down, and walked out. The other trooper following suit, kicking Luke just for the fun of it.
“Hope you two are tough, the Grand Admiral wants the two of you to survive interrogation.” The trooper said, also a woman, just before the door closed.
“The offer still stands if you change your mind ladies…” she calls after them.
“Eh- worth a shot. Thrawn… okay two more kills. You and Thrawn. The blue Bastard’s had it coming for a while.” She sinks back against the wall next to Luke.
“Well… any bright ideas Skywalker?” She asks.
Luke looked thoughtful for a moment. “It’s a long shot with the Ysalamiri right there, but it’s worth a shot.” Luke said before crossing his legs and closing his eyes, looking like he’s meditating. “Leia.” He whispered softly, trying to use his connection as her twin to contact her. “Leia, find us…”
Meanwhile on Coruscant Artoo suddenly bursts into Leia’s office screaming. “Artoo Deeto! You know better to barge in when she’s in a meeting!” Threepio exclaimed following the Astromech. “Forgive me Mistress Leia, but Artoo said it’s an emergency.”
“Great. Because that’s so helpful…” Mara huffs. Glancing around for cameras and finding none. She reaches into her hair and pulls out a pin. Pulling it apart with her teeth.
Leia chuckles. “It’s just Han. What’s wrong?” She frowns. “It’s Luke isn’t it? Show us please R2”
“Well it’s either that or we wait for Artoo to show up. Wouldn’t be the first time he did a one-droid rescue.” Luke said thinking of the time his friend stole his X-Wing to save Threepio.
“Hey, I’m hurt that it’s just me.” Han chuckled lightly.
Artoo beeped and showed a hologram of Luke and a woman, he’s saving the fight itself for later when they can all enjoy it. He showed the woman getting his with a dart of some kind and passing out, Luke trying to use the force on the attacker, who in the hologram is revealed to be Grand Admiral Thrawn, but not being able to call it, and getting stunned for his efforts. “Oh dear.” Threepio fretted. “Master Luke is in peril, oh I knew he shouldn’t have gone to the Palace…”
“Luke went to the Imperial Palace alone?!” Han exclaimed. “He’s supposed to be a Jedi master, what’s he doing walking into traps? And who was that woman?”
Mara fiddles with her chains and opens it easily.
“You still want to wait on a rescue?” She sasses. Moving to lean over his chain and focus on it. Her hair brushing against his face.
“I don’t know who she is but Luke likes her.” Leia smirks. Strange though… it seems he can’t use the force… Han. This might be a straight normal rescue. Get Chewie and let’s go save my idiot brother.” Leia says grabbing her blaster.
“Well, we should try to do something.” Luke admitted, trying not to think about how she seems more beautiful when she’s out smarting him.
“Already on it.” Han said calling Chewie and explaining the situation.
Artoo beeped determinedly. “Artoo says that he’s coming along whether you like or not.” Threepio translates. Artoo beeped again causing Threepio to gasp. “Artoo Detoo watch your language! You can’t say that to the Princess!” Threepio admonished hitting Artoo on the dome.
There’s a click and the cuffs fall off of him.
“Right… we could probably strangle it with the chains…” she muses. “Could you give me a boost? Do you think that thing would fight back? I’ll admit I was only half listening when my master told me about it…”
“Of course you are! You’r wth the toughest droid I’ve ever met! I know R2… he’s an idiot but he’s our idiot. And I’m betting judging by the look on his face that he was a bit distracted by that woman right? You’ll have to tell us more about her on the way over. He won’t get hurt. We won’t let anything happen to him…” she gently rests her hand on his head.
“3P0. If you want to stay you’re more than welcome. If something is messing with the force it’s very dangerous. And you need to be here if something happens to us.”
“Wait you want to kill it?!” Luke exclaimed looking up at the creature. “Come on, we can’t!”
“Yes, I think I’ll stay here.” Threepio decided. “Maybe I could be of help to Chancellor Mon Mothma.”
Artoo beeped at him annoyed. “No, I am not scared Artoo!” Threepio exclaimed defensively. “I just believe that someone should stay at the office.”
“Whatever goldenrod.” Han said dismissively. “Chewie says the Falcon’s fueled up and ready to go. Now let’s hope Luke remembered to turn on the tracker he put in his hand.” Han reported.
“It’s it or us!” Mara exclaims. “Your father was Vader can you at least pretend to have a spine?”
She paces the room like a caged tiger.
“Please.” It’s a command. She’s not asking. It’s unclear if she knows how to ask.
“Well if he didn’t the one I put in while he was sleeping is on. Let’s go!” Leia replies.
Luke sighs. Then he lights up like he has an idea. “Oh blast! Can’t believe I forgot about this!” He exclaimed taking his glove off. He opens the panel in his wrist and tweaks with something in it. “Annnnnnd, there! My tracker is on, Artoo should be receiving the signal!”
As they were boarding the Falcon Artoo beeped excitedly. “Sounds like he’s got Luke’s signal.” Han said with a smirk. “You…you didn’t tag me with a tracker, right?” He asked nervously.
She rolls her eyes.
“Fine I’ll… do it myself…” she says marching over to the bed and trying to drag it my herself to the middle of the room.
“Don’t suppose you have a screwdriver in that hand of yours do you?” Mara asks.
“Not yet.” Leia replies kissing his cheek. And sitting down and buckling in.
“It’d be handy if I did.” Luke punned with a sigh.
Han has a look of pure fear on his face. Both Artoo and Chewie laughed at it as the Falcon went into lightspeed.
Mara looks murderous.
“Get your Jedi ass over here and help me with this. Your hand can’t bleed like mine can.” She’s clearly pissed off that she has to ask for help.
Leia sighs and checks her blaster over.
“They’re moving. They must be on a ship…”
“Clearly you don’t know how synth flesh works.” He muttered as he stood up and walked over to her. “Don’t notice the perfume, don’t notice the perfume.” He thought as he got close. “What’s the plan?”
“Great. That could mean it’s a warlord or an admiral that’s got him.” Han muttered. “Which means, Star Destroyer.” At this, Artoo lets loose a squeal that sounds like “uh oh.”
“I need this to be unbolted. So I can move it closer to… Nevermind if it would hurt your hand I have a better idea. You still won’t boost me?” She asks. Looking over the wall. Then upwards. And she smirks.
“We’ve handled worse… and if whoever has him wants Jedi… well they don’t know I’m not one… I have a saber.” Leia smirks. “You can hide in the cargo hold.”
Luke looked up at the grating. “So long as you’re not gonna kill what I’m assuming to be an endangered species, then I can give you a boost.” He conceded.
“Hell no you’re not!” Han exclaimed. “No way am I letting my wife take on a Star destroyer’s worth of troops on her own!”
She huffs.
“If I wasn’t ordered to kill you myself I’d let you die here.” After saying that she shoves him towards the bed and backs up to the other wall. Before sprinting up the wall and reaching up towards the bars.
With a grunt of effort she contracts her abs and sticks her legs through the grating to hang there upside down.
“Kriff. I should have grabbed the chains first… oh well we do this the old fashioned way.
She uses the grates like monkey bars and swings closer to the creature. Taking another break to hang by her legs.
“I’m really going to enjoy killing you.” She informs Luke. “I’ve never met a more useless man in my kriffing life…” she grumbles. As she swings her arms up to try and figure out how to strangle the thing.
She goes to hang by her hands again and moves her legs up to wrap around the creature’s throat.
Leia’s eyebrows shoot up.
“Your what?”
“You’re gonna fall.” Luke sighed looking up at her. “And I’m gonna laugh.”
“What? Didn’t I give you the ring already?” Han asked confused. Then seeing the look on her face he turned to Chewie. “Didn’t I?” Chewie shook his head no. “Kriff! I knew I forgot something!” He shouted running out of the cockpit towards the captain’s cabin.
“You’re distracting me.” Mara retorts. Getting her legs around the poor creature and strangling it. The creature struggles and her legs slip at the same time as her hands.
“Kriff!”
“Does… he know that it takes more than a ring to be married?” Leia whispers to Chewie.
Luke moves under her quickly and catches her. “How about we ignore the Ysalamiri and climb out into the corridor and open the door from that end?” He asked raising an eyebrow.
Chewie shakes his head no and Artoo gives a beeping laugh.
Mara’s eyes widen. Her face going for a moment as red as her hair.
“Because genius. The grates are too small…” she looks upwards. “I mean I’m flexible. But not that flexible. Unless….” She thinks a long moment.
“Okay. Fine but you’ll need to boost me.” Mara replies.
“Han. Sweetheart… this can wait. Besides don’t you want all our family to be here? Let’s make sure Luke’s safe alright? I want to be able to enjoy this.” Leia calls.
“Alright.” Luke said going over to the wall and bracing against it, readying himself to give her a boost up.
Han walks back into the cockpit looking dejected. “Alright.” He sighs. A little bit later they exited hyperspace and saw an imperial star destroyed. “I know those markings.” Han said as he caught a glimpse of the markings on the underside of the hull. “The Chimera. Grand Admiral Thrawn’s ship. Looks like General Syndulla was right about his return.”
Mara sighs and goes over to the chains.
She grabs them and wraps them around herself sort of like a climbing rope.
Then she takes a look at Luke. He was sort of handsome… it was a shame she would have to kill him…
Focus for force’s sake…
She takes a running start and as he boosts her she leaps at the same time. Going up into the vent and bracing herself against it. Shimmying her way up with a few grunts of effort.
She disappears over the edge and stops for a moment to catch her breath.
There’s the sound of movement as she shuffled away. Then an annoyed groan and then the chain comes down.
-
Leia sighs tiredly. “Force… why can’t we have a nice normal day? Alright I’m gunna get my blaster and my saber. Are you ready?”
Luke climbs up the chain, and pulls it up behind him. The Ysalamiri watches judgmentally. Once he’s in the droid duct, he hears soft music, and grins knowing what it is. “I sense where they put our things.” He whispered to Mara. “Follow me.”
“Because you’re Jedi?” Han guesses. Chewie gives a soft roar, possibly suggesting another theory. “That’s a good one too buddy. Yeah, we’re ready.” Han adds going into the main corridor and opening the hidden smuggler’s hold.
Mara is quiet. She huffs. Blinking. And nods. Following after him. Doing her best not to be uncomfortable being in such a close space with a Skywalker.
He felt like all the weakness in Vader. And her concern about the vision she had was growing.
“Why were you at the temple anyways?” She asks.
-
Leia takes the lead. Waiting impatiently for her boyfriend. Fiancé? Whatever Han was now.
A nuisance. Yes. Always.

Leia sighs tiredly. “Force… why can’t we have a nice normal day? Alright I’m gunna get my blaster and my saber. Are you ready?”
Vader marched through the Imperial Palace. His master had a new assassin that he wanted trained and ordered Vader to oversee it. Vader wondered why she wasn’t being trained with the Inquisitors, then he realized, this assassin was to be special. He opened the door of the room she was in, recognizing it as Yoda’s old meditation room, and just stood in the entryway, letting his breathing fill the room.

“Why the Kriff are you here?” The voice is strident, Snippy. That of an annoyed teenager.
She turns around from where she’s working on her saber.
“Well?” She crosses her arms over her chest. Her eyes are far too hard for any teenage girl’s.
But probably typical knowing who raised her.
Vader looked at her. He said nothing as his breathing continued to fill the room. He then held his hand out and what she’s made of her lightsaber flew into his hand. “Impressive craftsmanship.” He allowed, looking at it closely. “However, the power cell is unaligned by .3 microns. Just enough to cause it to explode when activated.”
“The Emperor ordered me to oversee your training young one.” He explained holding her lightsaber out to her.
“Yeah? Well I could sense your hesitation from the second floor. Your division of self threw me off. What are you afraid of younglings or something? Surprising considering your past.” She snaps. Yoinking her saber back with the force to make the adjustment. She fiddles either it for a moment or
“Well… what training did you have in mind?” She asks as she ignites her purple lightsaber. She glares at him. But smiles though it doesn’t reach her eyes.
“The Dark Side, and the seven lightsaber forms.” Vader told her, ignoring her jab about the younglings. Honestly he could feel Skywalker in the back of his mind stirring, this girl reminded him of Skywalker’s apprentice.
She cocks her head to the side. “Hmm… okay.” She puts her saber back into its holster after deactivating it.
There’s another flood of annoyance and then a tinge of abandonment. Which is palpable in the room.
“So where do we start Vader?” She asks.
“Show me what you know.” He said activating his lightsaber, keeping a one handed grip on it with the blade pointed downward.
“Oh I know lots of things. Mostly because I listen when other people think I don’t.” She replies lighting her saber.
“But there’s always something you can learn from people. That’s another thing I know.” She says as she paces the room.
She wiggles her fingers and a few tubes inside of his suit disconnect.
“Don’t blame me for levelling the playing field. I know you don’t fight fair either.”
“If my master sent you here there’s something he wants me to learn. And knowing you…. Alright… how did it feel? Being in love? Though I suppose you still are now. I met her once. She was kind.” She says softly.
She swings at him.
“That’s one thing I think I’ll never know. I’m not enough a fool to think our master loves me. I’m not sure he’s able. I’m not sure I would be able to love him back if I did. But I am curious.” She shrugs as she easily blocks one of his strikes.
He could feel the cable uncoupling and sliding out of place before his respirator turns off. He’s now wheezing very loudly. Focusing the Dark Side to move and attack. “Impressive.” He wheezed getting close to her, his voice barely louder than a whisper, his enunciator also disabled.
“Come on old man! You’re supposed to teach me something. I don’t need praise I need information.” She fires back. Blocking another strike.
“Shouldn’t curiosity be rewarded?” She asks.
There’s a glint in her eyes. She knows something he doesn’t.
“Master says attachment is a weakness. But isn’t that the same thing the Jedi preached? You used to be one. Tell me.”
