I woke up laying in his arms and thanking God for allowing me to see another day. I turned over and I looked at my husband, he was sleeping so peacefully. I placed a kiss on his lips and he moved a little.
"Sia what time is it," he asks while his eyes were still closed.
All of a sudden, My Six year old daughter Kylie came into our room. I sigh and I pick her up.
"Kye what did daddy tell you about coming in our room like that," Chris asks while yawning.
"Don’t worry about it, but shouldn’t you be getting ready for your day," I ask him as I get out of bed.
"I have a press conference later on at two, then I have practice."
"Well I’m about to make breakfast and wash up."
"If I’m still asleep, wake me up when you’re done baby."
"Okay," I say as I pick our daughter up. We went to the bathroom and I turned the water on in the tub. You see my life was like this almost every single day. I have been married to Los Angeles Clippers point guard, Chris Paul for five and a half years now. Being married to a professional basketball player is something different. But I’ve been with Chris through everything. I’ve known him since college and we just progressed from then. Together, we have a two-year old son named Chris Paul Jr or CPJ and he’s nothing but energy but I also have a 6 yr old daughter named Kylie-Marie.
Normally, I wouldn’t label myself as a basketball wife, but the tabloids and blog sites do. I see myself as a normal working women that is married to a basketball player. I’m don’t care about the money, I’m in this relationship because I’m in love with my husband. And I’m down with him no matter what.
"Mama, mama," Kylie whines
"Yes baby," I answer as put my hair into a bun.
"Is Daddy going to take a bath with us?"
"No," I say while laughing. "Daddy is tired from his game last night, so he’s resting."
I turned our water off and then I undressed my daughter and I as we got into the tub. This was a normal thing for my daughter and I. Especially since she was an only child and we spoiled her like crazy.
"I’m in the tub babe," I say to him.
I was so glad that it was a bubble bath, then I would have to explain to Kylie why her dad is in the bathroom while we’re naked. Chris opens the bathroom door with Cj on his hip and I looked at him. He came and sat down on the toilet while looking at me.
"Practice is at ten, I have to leave early."
"Okay Chris," I say while sighing. "Like every other day, I’m used to it."
"I promise when tomorrow, it’ll be a day for me, you, and Cj."
"I love you," he says while kissing my head. Then he pecks my lips. He kisses Kylie’s head and then he walks out.
"Where is Daddy going," Kylie asks.
"He has to go to practice baby, it’ll be just me and you today," I say while kissing her head.
It was all the times and I was so used to it by now. I guess I was married to the game…
