I don’t know if the Stobotnik shippers still exist but my brother put Sonic 3 on last night with Danish dub because his five years old son was watching along.
I’ve never watched the movie before so I have no idea what they say in English but during the final when Robotnik is speaking to the world on the big screen he calls Stone a spytslikker which directly translates to spit-licker, which means something like bootlicker except you’re subservient to one specific person instead of the whole system.
Robotnik tells Stone “You weren’t a spit-licker, you were a spit-friend!”
It probably won’t surprise you that spit-friend is a silly term for someone you’re in a situationship with, like “He’s not really his boyfriend, they’re just spit-friends”
So the Danish version of the movie just straight up says they’re lovers but Robotnik isn’t ready to be serious.

Okay but can you imagine mobian Ivo eventually trusting Stone enough to let him do his shearing?
I have so many thoughts about the shearing, you guys have no idea.
At first, Robotnik doesn't need Stone's help with this. He's got his badniks to do it for him, plus he doesn't want Stone to figure out he's not actually a black sheep. He has Stone clean up the lab and dispose of the wool though (which Stone doesn't exactly... do, but that's a whole other thing) so Stone has seen suspisciously auburn pieces of wool.
Then at the mushroom planet, he does it himself, and by the time he comes back he's way too focused on other stuff to even worry about it.
While in the crab, he won't let Stone not the badniks do it, even though it's clearly heavy and bad for him. He's just not interested. Once he decides to go out again, he gets his eggbots to do it like in the old times.
And once he comes back after the explosion?
Stone finally gets to do it.

Villain stone stuff but with Metal bc I loves him
While he thinks the doctor is dead, Stone tells metal a bunch of stories about him but totally over exaggerates it. Not intentionally, but because that’s just how rose colored his view of Robotnik is.
Wait now because of how protective Robotnik is over Stone being seen in revealing clothes. What about Little Egg like... Slamming shut the shutters on his little dollhouse because one of the bigs tried to check on them while Pebble wasn't fully dressed. Maybe idk he took off his jacket and Egg is like "nuh- uh! My husband! My eyes only!" ?
