The Old Spoon. Over 25 years ago, on a hitchhiking trip in southern France, I found a spoon at my camp site. It was a nice spoon. Cheap metal, plastic fake horn handle, it was one of the many fake-Laguiole incl. Fake “bee” that mimic the famous brand but use cheap materials while looking nice… I kept him. All those years, during my student years, my career, my dropout/hobo years it was with me, was my “holy spoon”, and it was among the items that accompanied me into my new life when I moved to South America. Meanwhile the handle is cracked and partially molten, the metal parts are coming off, and it is time to set the little guy free again. There is also a lot of “old” energy attached to this spoon that belongs to the past. I will bury him for the excavators of a distant future… :D
