Prologue - The Watcher
I am Uatu.
It is my honour bound duty to stand witness over this universe. From the birth of planets, to the dawn of man, I have seen it all. Sworn to a vow of non-interference, my watch will continue till the death of all existence. Unyielding. Implacable. Resolute.
However, my inaction is soon to be put to the test. The humans of Earth will soon become embroiled in events they are, as yet, unprepared for. This fledgling race, barely touching upon the realms of science and technology. Still among waring fractions; squabbling over land, politics, and wealth.
There must be an acceleration! A progression! An evolution!
A way forward, to not just meet these new threats but to overcome the challenges brought with them.
The Cold War. The Dimensional Convergence. The Rise of the Exalted. Doomsday.
My mind is set. My decision final.
Whatever the repercussions. I must help them. I must use all my power over the superflow.
Speak to the universe itself.
