A Brush with Death || Mary/Elise
Sheâd just been walking through the streets, admiring the handiwork of a new piece of jewellery sheâd bought, untilâŠ
â Oh my god, thereâs a serial killer on the loose! Donât you dare come any closer or I will contact the authorities immediately! â
âI-what?â Maryâs thoughts were interrupted by blonde girl with her finger pointed straight into Maryâs face.Â
Holding up her hands Mary said, âIâm not a killer--Iâm a writer!â
A Tea Time Chat || Nori & Mary
Giving a nod, as the other woman accepted her request, Nori took a seat in front of her, hands resting on the wooden table. âAh, my name is Nori.â Introducing herself back, she smiled. It was always nice to see visitors from out of town, and she loved to hear of what happened outside of the town of Konohana.
Fumbling about with her fingers for a bit, Nori looked right back up at Mary, herself curious of where and how far the raven haired female had travelled. âIâve never seen you around Konohana before so I was just a bit curious butâŠWhich town did you travel from?âÂ
After asking, Nori fiddled a bit with her sleeves as she was a little nervous about talking to a new person, thinking that maybe she couldâve worded herself better.
Mary smiled at the woman as she told her her name. Nori. It was a simple and pretty name. Mary internally saved it for a possible character name down the line.Â
When Nori asked about Maryâs hometown she replied, âI came from Mineral Town. Itâs a ways north-east of here. Iâm actually here visiting Hiro. Weâve been pen pals and finally decided to meet face to face.â
Mary hoped that Hiro wouldnât mind her telling that to Nori. It didnât seem like a very personal thing, but then again people have their own varying definitions. Still, Nori seemed like a nice enough person. Maybe the two of them were even friends?Â
âIâm so glad I came to visit, too,â Mary continued, looking out the window, âThis place is so beautiful. Iâm going to find it hard to leave.â She chuckled slightly to herself, thinking about it. The scenery definitely tempted her to stay. She only hoped the townsfolk were just as kind back in her hometown.Â

Storybook Meeting || Mary & Hiro
She knew his name! Yes, it mustâve been her.
âMiss Mary,â he repeated, smiling brightly and genuinely as he tucked away the photo in the pocket of his pants. âYou look as pretty as you do in the picture you sent me. Iâm glad that you have actually come!âÂ
Due to his cultural habits, Hiro gave a steady bow. âHow has your stay been so far?â
It was Hiro! Mary smiled brightly as he greeted her. His compliment made her blush slightly, but she couldnât believe she was really in Konohana talking to her pen pal.Â
âItâs great to see you,â Mary said. âItâs been great so far. I still canât believe Iâm here. Itâs just as beautiful as you said. I canât wait to see everything!âÂ
Lonely at the Library || Mary and Trent
âWell in Norad, you cant really not use a sword, it can be rather dangerous.â Trent decided to not mention how he had discovered this, even if it did involve just one wooly.Â
Trent couldnt help but sigh at the librarians question. On the few occasions that he and Sofia did fight, it often involved where they would move. â..Iâd love to, considering the monsters but its not⊠quite decided yet.â
âIs it really that dangerous?â Mary asked. Sheâd heard about the monsters on the western continent, but she never imagined everyone needing a weapon to survive. It sounded a bit more... exciting than she cared for. However, itâd be a great setting for a future story.
Mary frowned when he said they were undecided. âIt would be awful to see our townâs doctor go,â she said. A lot of people here relied on him after all. There was Lillia with her illness, Ellen with her bad legs, and even Jeff at the general store usually popped in. It then occurred to her that perhaps her two cents would distress Trent even more.Â
âBut Iâm sure weâd find a way!â Mary chirped with a too bright smile, trying not to make the doctorâs decision more difficult, but was pretty sure the damage was done.Â

â Doesnât this town remind you of a village in a fairy tale? â

A tea time chat || Nori & Mary
It wasnât too late in the day but it was definitely a good time for some tea! Happily strolling along the roads of Konohana, she headed towards the tea house. Greeting Yun and the few others she knew within the store, Nori noticed an unknown visitor sitting in the corner of the store close to a window, a novel in her hand. Being the nice person she is, Nori told Yun what she wanted to drink before heading towards the stranger.
Stopping right next to the raven haired femaleâs table, Nori smiled before greeting the visitor. âHello! May I take this seat?â
Mary had been thoroughly enjoying her visit to Konohana. She quickly found Yunâs tea house to be her favorite spot in the village. The place was simple and cozy, perfect for reading a book and enjoying her tea.Â
She was doing just that when a friendly face appeared next to her table. It took a moment for Maryâs eyes to refocus on the real world from the far away land in the book. Blinking a couple times she saw a woman with flowing black hair and a sweet face.Â
âOh, go ahead,â Mary smiled pleasantly and gestured to the seat across from her. Mary politely set her book aside to give the woman her attention. If Mary had been back in Mineral Town she might have been annoyed, but this wasnât Mineral Town. She was actually exploring and one of the best things is to meet local people.Â
âMy nameâs Mary,â she said after a momentâs thought.Â
Storybook Meeting || Mary & Hiro
Hiro had been standing in front of the town hall, eyes up on the sky as he waited. Though his posture was calm, as was his expression , the apprentice was very, very excited. A smile had painted his face as he looked down at the photo he had in his hand of the young lady in glassesâhis pen pal.Â
She had come into Konohana. She really had, and he was ever eager to actually meet her in person! He would put on his best first impression. Er, second impression. First face-to-face impression Nevertheless, he was determined to leave a good mark in her book.
When he sees a figure step out of the town hall, Hiro turns immediately, blinking once as he sees someone who looked uncannily similar to the picture he had gotten in the mail.
ââŠMiss Mary?â
It had been a long trip from Mineral Town to Konohana, but she didnât feel tired. Instead she felt excited. Not only was she in a whole new place, somewhere far from home, but she was going to meet a friend for the first time. Sheâd been mailing Hiro for some time before going on this trip. Now sheâd be able to talk to him, face to face.
After arriving in the village, Mary went to the town hall to reserve a room as Hiro suggested. The townâs mayor was a bit intimidating, but friendly. Once Mary received her room key it was her mission to find Hiro next.
Mary stepped outside into the bright sunshine. The place was so peaceful; she couldnât help but wonder where was the best place to curl up with a good book. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard her name. It took her by surprise, but only one person knew her name in this town.
âHiro? Is that you?â she asked while walking over to him.Â
A Brush with Death || Open
Walking along the street the young librarian wondered aloud, âTo kill them or not to kill them? Itâd probably be better if they were dead...â

» Send me a âÛâ to see the pros and cons of our muses being in a relationship together.
Pros:
Being cute and adorable together.
Tea time would be the best time.
Each would braid each othersâ hair.
Cons:
Might accidentally ignore Nori while working on a novel or reading.
Mary would probably get jealous of the niceness Nori shows everyone, making Mary wonder if sheâs special enough for her.
Kiss me quick!

Maryâs face slowly turned to the shade of ripe tomato. She opened her mouth a couple times but no words came out. Embarrassment filled her from head to toe and she couldnât do anything else than stand there and avert her gaze.Â
Hiro was⊠also dreadfully embarrassed. This was, er, this was just a game, anyhow. They didnât really have to do anything! ReallyâŠ
ââŠI-itâs alright,â he said with heat rising in his cheeks, swallowing and avoiding eye-contact as well. âWe ah, d-donât have to do thisâŠ!â
âTh-thank you,â Mary said barely above a whisper. She couldnât handle the heat in her face now. If she had to go through with the dare sheâd probably die from the embarrassment. âI... I appreciate it...â she played with her sleeves to keep her from facing Hiro. Why did she put herself in these situations?
Lonely at the Library || Mary and Trent
âOh really, I might have saved her but I was hardly a knight in shining armor! Rather the other way around!⊠She can use a sword after all.â
Trent wouldnt admit it, not yet but his entire relationship was really the result of a 2 week romance and an unexpected pregnancy. It didnt mean that he loved Sofia any less of course!
âOf course⊠the entire two weeks she stayed were romantic.. I took her to Kaiâs for our first date and walked her around the town.. I put flowers in her hair by the goddess pond..â A feeling of nostalgia was washed over the doctor, that had really been a year ago..
âA sword? Really?â Mary asked, rather impressed. Sounded something straight out of a fantasy novel. As she listened to him Mary got swept up in it all. It sounded so perfect and sweet.Â
She smiled brightly at him, âKaiâs is a great place. The seaside is perfect. Sounds like the two of you must have had a lovely time.â Mary absently wondered if sheâd get the same fairy tale ending.Â
âDoes that mean you two will be staying in Mineral Town now?â she asked.
