“What is your Story” a GIF Series
This is the film that is going to be shown in the exhibition as part of the showreel. It’s the collection of gifs played in sequence, three times for a span of 1 minute. I wanted the work to be presented on the showreel, in film form but I knew i would be unwise to have all of the gif playing at the same time on one screen for legibility reasons. This was the best and safest way to present the work successfully.
In relation to the showreel, I’m planning on putting up two stills from the GIF set that will be hung up in G5 where it will be presented. The proposed stills are shown below. I chose these two because they have a good visual relationship to each other as they have the same theme of space objects, and can become stand alone posters if need be. It’s also a good reference to the video, without revealing the message, as the words “Always” and “All the Time” revolve around theme of time, and not identity like the GIF.
The notes and photos generated from the lecture that Jonothan Barnbrook had in Chelsea going over his work, ethics, and design strategies. It was an exciting experience for me as I’m a big fan of his, and it was an enriching break to have to be re-inspired to work productively again. The notes should be pointed out in the notebook for a closer look.
