ONLINE SCAMMERS - there's been an absolute plague of online imposters pretending to be myself and other cast members not only from Outlander but a host of other shows. Please don't fall for it. This account is my only online SM account. I am NOT on Twitter, Google Chat, Telegram or anything else so please unfollow any other accounts claiming to be me. I've heard about a good few peeps getting fooled and loosing money to these criminals and with Al it's only going to get worse so report anything suspicious or any direct messages from "me" as it will 100% be fraud. #scammers #onlinefraud

Can I ask you about your take on Amaranthus? I love William and I feel she's all wrong for him. Also I adore the fact that only Jamie and William call Fanny "Frances" and think it must be of significance. I'm not a fan of Diana's tendency to marry very young girls to grown men, but in this case, I so hope for a marriage between William and Frances!
William is a hot mess. Hormones all over the place. Probably not unlike his father as a young man - until he found Claire, of course.
Amaranthus...I'm not a fan. William needs someone like Claire who will love him, support him, yet challenge him and call him out on his bullshit. Amaranthus isn't that person.
Frances isn't that person, either. She's been through so much trauma in her life. With Jamie and Claire's love, she finally feels safe and can have the childhood she deserves. I don't see her and William's relationship ever being anything more than brother and sister.
Claire’s heart is dead. Jamie is unreachable - unfindable. Her hair is stiff; she wears makeup; her face is in shadow. For the light has gone from her life. There is no joy. Only the shell remains.
Claire’s heart thrums with life. Her hair is wild and curly and free. She is natural - with gray hair and no makeup. Just the way Jamie wants her; just the way he loves her. His love brings light to her life - to her face. She glows with joy.

Remember… ever since I remember, my mum brought us to the library; that was our weekly thing. We went in and picked four or five books. I grew up in a very small village and it was just having this window into so many places in in the world. — Caitríona Balfe

Remember César’s for all the Karens 🫶🏻?
Did Isabel know Jamie was Willie's before he was born. I don't remember that part very clearly. LBJ does have relations with her doesn't he? Too bad they didn't have children . She was a good mother.
In the book she did not. In the book we barely meet her at all - and we certainly get no sense of who she is as a person.
I so love how in 03x04 we really got to know her - and her relationship with her sister - and her relationship with John. Something tells me that their marriage, while based on pragmatism, will be surprisingly happy and full of love for William and respect for each other. And I’m so happy to see evidence that she will be a fantastic mother to William.
These are the small things that the series does so well - fill in the gaps, mend the holes, and give flesh to otherwise flat characters. Makes the entire story that much richer as a result.

Eleanor Tomlinson’s comments about working with Sam. As with everyone who has ever worked with him, she has glowing comments about how great he is. Don’t listen to the negative comments here on Tumblr or other social media. He is indeed a dream. 💙
Tell us about Evie…
“Frank,” I said tiredly, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean it to happen, and I tried all I could to come back — really, I did — but I couldn’t. And now it’s too late.”
– Voyager
Too late for what?
To love him again?
To save their marriage?
To truly be sorry for everything that happened?
To “come back” to where their relationship was, right before she fell through time, when their marriage was on shaky ground at best?
How sincere is Claire’s apology? Did she really believe she couldn’t?
It’s interesting how, 20-odd years later when Claire tells Brianna the truth, she uses similar words - but with an entirely different meaning:
“Go back!” he had said. “There’s nothing here for ye! Nothing save danger.”
"Is there really nothing here for me?“ I had asked. Too honorable to speak, he had answered nonetheless, and I had made my choice.
"It was too late,” I said, staring down at my hands, lying open on my knees. The day was darkening to rain, but my two wedding rings still gleamed in the fading light, gold and silver…
“I loved Frank,” I said quietly, not looking at Bree. “I loved him a lot. But by that time, Jamie was my heart and the breath of my body. I couldn’t leave him. I couldn’t ,” I said, raising my head suddenly to Bree in appeal. She stared back at me, stone-faced.

Jamie and Claire, through their love, bring out the best in each other. Push each other. Find completion in each other.
Transform each other.
Annalise: When I knew him, he was impulsive - headstrong.
Claire: He still is.
Annalise: Ah - but when I knew him, he was a boy. You’ve turned him into a man.

Hi Gotham. In the scene, in Lallybroch, with Jamie and Claire in the Laird's bedroom, could this be when Brianna was conceived? It would be a sweet parallel to 1x12, having their two girls being conceived in the same room in their happy place Lallybroch. That scene reminded me so much of the one from last season. Or is it too soon? What do you think? Thank you in advance. Have a great day/night. :)
Hi anon,
No - as amazing as that would be, it’s far too early. We still need to get through about a year of fighting before Jamie and Claire part at the stones.
If you count backwards in Dragonfly in Amber, Brianna is likely conceived in Edinburgh, when Jamie and Claire are making a desperate, last-ditch attempt to stop the Rising and Prince Chuck. Very likely that she was conceived on the night when Jamie and Claire have this conversation:
I woke in the night, still in his arms, and knew he was not asleep.
“Go back to sleep, mo duinne .” His voice was soft, low and soothing, but with a catch that made me reach up to feel the wetness on his cheeks.
“What is it, love?” I whispered. “Jamie, I do love you.”
“I know it,” he said quietly. “I do know it, my own. Let me tell ye in your sleep how much I love you. For there’s no so much I can be saying to ye while ye wake, but the same poor words, again and again. While ye sleep in my arms, I can say things to ye that would be daft and silly waking, and your dreams will know the truth of them. Go back to sleep, mo duinne .”
I turned my head, enough that my lips brushed the base of his throat, where his pulse beat slow beneath the small three-cornered scar. Then I laid my head upon his chest and gave my dreams up to his keeping.
