Hi Gotham. In the scene, in Lallybroch, with Jamie and Claire in the Laird's bedroom, could this be when Brianna was conceived? It would be a sweet parallel to 1x12, having their two girls being conceived in the same room in their happy place Lallybroch. That scene reminded me so much of the one from last season. No - as amazing as that would be, itâs far too early. We still need to get through about a year of fighting before Jamie and Claire part at the stones.
If you count backwards in Dragonfly in Amber, Brianna is likely conceived in Edinburgh, when Jamie and Claire are making a desperate, last-ditch attempt to stop the Rising and Prince Chuck. Very likely that she was conceived on the night when Jamie and Claire have this conversation:
I woke in the night, still in his arms, and knew he was not asleep.
âGo back to sleep, mo duinne .â His voice was soft, low and soothing, but with a catch that made me reach up to feel the wetness on his cheeks.
âWhat is it, love?â I whispered. âJamie, I do love you.â
âI know it,â he said quietly. âI do know it, my own. Let me tell ye in your sleep how much I love you. For thereâs no so much I can be saying to ye while ye wake, but the same poor words, again and again.
