Cauda Pavonis

This moment was called "cauda pavonis" ("peacock's tail") , and would correspond to the moment that the human soul, after many painful rebirths, would realize that all colors of nature also exist inside them. This understanding would lead the person to finally see that there is no separation between people and nature, and that everything is one. This is the moment when a soul of lead becomes a soul of gold. The peacock, then, symbolizes this special moment of transformation.

“Horses are soothing, gentle animals. They are straightforward in their interactions without lying or manipulating. They do not judge or blame. Their presence alone can be immensely healing. Beasley recalls one client who suffered brutal childhood abuse in her family. Rather than designing a directed equine therapy session, she allowed the client to simply sit in the pasture with the horse. After an hour or so, the client, visibly moved, said, ‘I’ve never had anybody so big be nice to me before.’ This experience, Beasley says, created an 'alternative memory’ for the client. Rather than assuming that anyone bigger or more powerful than her would mistreat her, she had a firsthand experience that showed her she could trust again. Lush’s new campaign is called #refugeeswelcome and features the hand of friendship soap, it smells like cherries and all the proceeds go to the Friendship Fund that works with Amnesty International and International Rescue Committee to help Syrian refugees and the most urgent needs of Syrian people who have been displaced. You can also write a welcome note on the postcards in the shop and they will be given to someone when they arrive in North America.
