The annual United Way Kitchener Waterloo Celebrity Event was held at the University of Waterloo's Federation Hall on November 25. The event, entitled "Tales of a TV Journalist", honoured Lisa LaFlamme, the anchor of CTV News. Guest speakers included host Jeff Hutcheson of Canada AM, former anchor Lloyd Robertson, James Duthie of TSN and Julie Osborne of MacLean's magazine. I thought it was a joke when I was asked to produce a video for the Fruit Salad Tree company, but it was definitely for real! Anyone want their own lemon-lime-tangerine-pomello-orange tree? Give James or Kerry a shout!

This was produced with a super low budget, we didn't even have a proper microphone or lights, but it worked out quite nicely.

This is a great interview segment with Nike SB China team manager and professional skateboarder, Mr Johnny Tang. We touch on topics such as crazy knife wielding psychopaths, eating scorpions and of course the best skateboard spots in China.

In 2007 I spent a couple of months living in Rio de Janeiro, filming a skateboard video for Avuatuaba Skateboards, producing a video for a school in Rocinha, and of course living it up Carioca style... This radio documentary was a side project, the idea came about just from chatting with friends about what it's like to live in the south zone of Rio.

"To be robbed, it's pretty much normal!"
