I realized I haven't posted anything worthwhile here. So I'll just be rambling on today
I've been constantly talking about my beyburst oc on a discord server for a long time now (completely jobless behavior, but whatever).
I said, let me leave that place alone and just keep bothering people here (Half of the people there are here too lol)
The question that's been on my mind today is how Sieglinde's problems would be handled if she were in an anime.
First of all, I'm sure Hiro Morita, as usual, would show something about this and then continue with the series without any explanation. Therefore, regardless of the circumstances, Sieglinde's portrayal would never be complete.
Now let's look at which situations will be disclosed and which will not
To understand this, I first need to briefly explain Sieglinde. In short, Sieglinde is a beyblader who, due to traumatic events in her past, has become addicted to a sport in an attempt to cope.
In the past, she tried to meet the expectations of those around her, but ultimately ended up in the hospital and had to take a break.
Shortly, Sieglinde will have many topics to explore from the moment she first enters the series. Considering her mental instability, the number of topics will increase even further.
The main issues that need to be addressed are related to mental health, such as ptsd, her control obsession, and her obsession with beyblade. Her general problems in the anime include her attempts to climb the ranks again and become the team captain.
I have no doubt the anime will discuss her general problems. They definitely will because otherwise, shs wouldn't contribute to the serie's plot. My main issue is the discussion of her mental health problems.
Sieglinde is a somewhat complex character, especially when it comes to mental health. Each of her problems has a same origin with different paths and I'm not particularly keen on explaining them at length. I don't know if this character would have been as deep if Hiro had written her instead of me
I think Hiro would have shown some of it in the manga, but they would have censored parts of it in the anime because it would have been too dark for the anime
Sieglinde is certainly not a perfect victim, and the idea that her past experiences, despite her not remembering them, have altered her mind is also difficult to handle
Since delving into these topics would lead to very dark scenes, they completely skip over them and try to explain them indirectly. In that case, it's not entirely clear, and fans still have to meticulously piece information together
