Klaus: lebenslangerschicksalsschatz is not something that develops over time. It is something that happens instantaneously. It courses through you like the water of a river after a storm, filling you and emptying you all at once. You feel it throughout your body, in your hands, in your heart, in your stomach, in your skin…have you ever felt this way about someone?
Ted: …I think so.
Klaus: If you have to think about it, you have not felt it.
Ted: And you’re absolutely sure you’ll find that someday?

- Não sei. Mas tinha alguma coisa nela que respondia a todas as minhas perguntas.
(corta a cena para um flashback do personagem 2 de pé no parapeito de um prédio, olhando para baixo por cinco segundos, e depois volta para a cena da mesa de bar)
- O problema é que ela sempre soube o que quis. E eu sempre fui o cara ideal pra mulheres que não sabem o que querem.
- E o que ela quer?
- (tragando) Eu também não sei. Mas sei o que ela não quer.
- Você?
- (apagando o cigarro na palma da mão) Eu.
